OOTD | Not Yours

T-shirt - Primark
Shorts - River Island
Heels* - Boohoo

If you know anything about my style you'll know I'm such a sucker for anything pastel pink and stripes, so this get up really is my perfect summer outfit. I'm literally so surprised that there's been more than a few days of warm sunshine in the UK (I'm not complaining!), and in a frantic rummage around my wardrobe or floordrobe in my case, I've been discovering some of my old summer favourites such as these kinda tailored shorts from River Island. This shows how old they are now as I literally never shop there anymore, I just feel like the type of clothing and audience they target isn't me anymore, but I am so grateful for these shorts - I feel like I might be able to get away with them with a shirt for work too? Maybe I'm pushing my luck...

I made this look super casual with my new favourite slogan tee from Primark, please stop making such amazing t-shirts that I need to buy. I've honestly bought SO many tops from Primark this year that I've lost count, it's a good job it was only £6 though, and it is striped! I can't wait to wear this with an embroidered, oversized denim jacket and some white jeans when the weather is cooler.

I finished the look with my new favourite heels from Boohoo, who knew a pair could be both stylish and comfortable, more information on how I came to being gifted these shoes later this week. Just make sure you keep an eye on my social accounts and Boohoo's this Thursday, eeek! Anyway, I hope you all have a fabulous week!

What do you think of this outfit? Are you a sucker for primark's tees too? What are you up to this week?

Skandium, Carl Hansen Home Furniture Wishlist

I'm currently in the midst of frantically saving for a house deposit and I'm aiming to move out at the start of next year, all being well. So my Pinterest is currently going into over drive and I'm buying little things here and there throughout so it won't seem so expensive when I have to furnish the whole house. I'm currently dreaming of having a house with a Scandic theme, I want it to be quite minimalistic, but finished off with lots of cute details so it doesn't look too 'show homey'. I'm discovering new home brands all the time, thanks to Pinterest.

I was recently introduced to Skandium, you guessed it, home to Scandinavian design and furniture. The make that caught my eye was Carl Hansen, who have over a 100 year history for craftsmanship, manufacturing modern classics which are characterised by enduring beauty and exceptional quality. They have a wide range of furniture including chairs, tables and sofas that could be placed in a living room, dining room or anywhere that would really benefit from a classic design. Unfortunately, the brand is probably slightly too much out of my price range for now, but if I win the lottery tomorrow I know where I'm going to be heading!

The items I added to my Carl Hansen wishlist are classic essentials that would look perfect in any living room or office space. I'm wanting to invest in quite a simplistic chair like the top left wooden chair which I would then use to drape a white fur throw over, I think that looks amazing whether it's in a dressing room or an office (you can tell I've been on Pinterest!). I similarly want a nice big and comfy, yet simple sofa like this one, I've got my eye on some of the Nikki McWilliams biscuit cushions that I can't wait to fill my future home with, they just look so cute! I'm more of a fan of finding the right chair for my future home, but this round dining/tray table caught my eye, I think it would look great with contrasting white chairs. There's so much to choose from in their selection, and if you're willing to invest in some timeless pieces for your home, I would fully recommend taking a look at Carl Hansen's collection on Skandium.

What pieces have caught your eye? Who else is currently saving to move out?  I would love to see if anyone else has done any similar furniture/home decor wishlist style posts!

Lets Talk Jewellery

OneByOne-Jewellery-UK
I've never been a massive fan of jewellery, I've always been a believer of the 'less is more' sentiment - having said that you'll always find me with a pair of simple earrings and some gorgeous rings to match. Whilst it doesn't add to my overall outfit, it does make you look well finished, and it's the small details that I think always get noticed, whether that's on a night out, in a meeting or going shopping in town. But earrings are probably the one thing I like to change the most, I only ever wear stud earrings as I feel that dangly earrings get lost within my hair unless I'm wearing it up, I told you I was boring when it came to jewellery! Always on the look out for new jewellery brands, I was instantly attracted to the silver jewellery from OneByOne Jewellery UK, with such a massive collection of all types of jewellery, it took me an hour or two to decide what earrings I liked the look of! I'm such a sucker for pearl earrings so went for something a little bit different this time with these timeless sterling silver round stud earrings*, they're such an understated pair of earrings that add a perfect finishing touch to any outfit.

The silver earrings came so beautifully wrapped in a white box, tied together with pink ribbon. In my haste of opening the box to get a peek at the earrings I didn't get a chance to take a photo of the packaging (sorry!). I never anticipated how difficult it was to get some good shots of your earrings, but I think these do them justice. With a subtle round shape, they feature an outside ring of small glittering gems, with a slighter larger one in the centre. They also do these stud earrings in 3 other finishes, but I opted for these as I felt they would literally go with every outfit, which they do! I'm the type of person that won't change my earrings for weeks, so they fit perfectly into that routine!

If you're a bit like me and stick with what you know for weeks on end, or are more adventurous with your jewellery options, OneByOne Jewellery UK cater to everyone's needs and budgets. I'll never be a massive jewellery fan, but when I do find a nice piece I hold onto it for my life. The smallest things in life are always the best, right?

What's your favourite type of jewellery? Have you heard of OneByOne Jewellery UK before?

OOTD | The Streets Of Sicily

Shorts - Missguided
Bodysuit - Asos
Sandals - Asos
Bag - Primark
Sunglasses - Quay Australia

You might have noticed that this beautifully rustic background is different to my standard cobbled streets of Plymouth, I took these pictures in a shady backstreet of Sicily when we docked there for a day on the cruise. The palm trees and old/ruined buildings are the ideal backdrop for some pictures! I'd initially planned to shoot lots of different outfit posts on holiday for a holiday lookbook, but when it came down to it's really rather exhausting having to lug a big camera around with you all day when the weather is 30+ degrees, but the thought was there, and I still managed to get a couple of good outfit pictures together to share with you!

These sweet elephant shorts from Missguided were a last minute purchase before holiday, I was also shocked that their next day delivery was only £1.99, I'd had visions of it being £5.99 or more! These shorts have a matching top which would make the cutest co-ord ever, these shorts are slightly see through unfortunately (the issue with ordering online!), but you can be clever with what you wear underneath them, I teamed it with a black body suit for a seamless look. It was the perfect lightweight outfit for walking around all day, it also meant that I was able to proceed in eating the biggest brioche ice cream sandwich I have ever seen (see it for yourself on my Instagram!!) without my clothes restricting me. Who said your outfit can't be stylish and practical too?

What do you think of this outfit? Have you been to Sicily before? What's your go to outfit when the weather is hot?
