5 Lush Halloween Products You Need In Your Bath This Autumn

lush-cosmetics-halloween
Oh, what would you know, just like that it's almost bloody NOVEMBER. I'm not ready to admit that I still haven't met this years 4637 New Years resolutions, or set next years for that fact. But I love this time of the year, it's fresher, it's about buying PSL's that you don't even drink OR like - and sweet merry lord, the Lush Halloween collection is out too. It's better than ever.

I got a little preview of the Lush Halloween and Christmas collection a couple of weeks ago at their blogger event. Aint nobody do better blog events than these guys. I'd already spotted a few returning huns from last year and some new additions that have somehow topped what they did last year.

So whilst the evenings are starting to draw in, those days of leaving and coming home in the dark are on the horizon, the bathing season has started. For me, you won't want to be without these 5 Lush Halloween products this Autumn!
lush-cosmetics-halloween

How cute tho? It reminds me of a) lucky black cats b) the children's TV programme from the 90s (Cat's Eyes) and C) Salem from Sabrina, I'm smitten. Imagine having a black bath, like how Halloween and spooky is that? It's obviously going to be my bath product of choice when the 31st rolls around.

Yep, it's the first time this one has ever graced the shelves of Lush and I hope it makes a return.

2. Naked Twilight* (shower gel)

Mama have mercy. It's Twilight galore this year in Lush and I could not be more excited. I almost wet myself a bit when I realised Twilight shower gel was actually being sold in my Plymouth store, say what? I've always been a Twilight fan as opposed to a Snow Fairy gal and if their new twilight/sleepy additions weren't enough, they've now released a Naked shower gel of Twilight.

A lot of their products are now available in a naked form, removing plastic from the equation, it's of course much better for the environment, and lasts longer too. It smells INCRED - I almost want to use it as a room scent as it's just sooooo good.

I'm not entirely sure on the 'naked' concept yet, I think it's great what they're doing and hasn't been done before, but I'm not sure of how you would really store it or travel with it. But it is Twilight, so of course I had to have it. (Already setting my alarm for the Boxing Day sale to grab THE LOT).

Why buy the orange version when there is PINK. Always pink. I'm super happy at this new addition this year that is undeniably going to go down a storm with bloggers and girls everywhere.

It's pink, sparkly and lasts a few bath times, what's not to love about that?

4. Pumpkin

Pumpkin is back this year and it's a Halloween tradition of mine. You can't not buy Pumpkin, like it's the law. This cute bath bomb fizzes and creates that autumnal bath colour of dreams.

A comforting and sweet smell which is almost just that bit more satisfying than having a whiff of a PSL. I like it a lot.

Lord of Misrule is a babe! I think this is the third or fourth year it has returned, and the smells, colours are just divine. It's that one bath bomb that will always nail that lushie bath art for your Insta too.

It reminds me of the theatre show Wicked with its wicked green colour, it's only £3.95 too, so it definitely comes in at one of the more cheaper bath bombs!

3 of My Spotty Skin Saviours

spotty-skin-products
You know those days when your skin is like, LOL not today hun. This ones for you. I can probably count the actual real days in my life on one hand that I have had clear skin, and it aint pretty. If you read my most recent post about acne, you'll know it's not always been as easy as finding an elusive potion to clear your spots in one go. Getting rid of spots is about as hard as batting off that god damn boy from primary school from landing in your DM's, it's not easy.

My acne seems like a distant memory now, but I still suffer from troublesome skin and blocked pores. Banning chocolate and pizza from your diet doesn't work either, just FYI. These scaremongering articles do more harm than good I swear. From recommendations and my own discoveries, I've learnt that when it comes to skincare you do have to pay more to get the quality and results. You might not be able to afford to eat for the rest of the month, but HEY I actually have nice skin. These are 3 skincare products that I have been loving recently.

I first dipped my toe into the world of Glamglow when I received a sample size of the above mask in my Look Fantastic Beauty Box, game changer. After wearing SPF, body oil and baking in the sun for a week, I ended up with clogged facial pores and a lot of spots. Yay. Sun is meant to make you skin look better, right? This is THE product for congested skin, I probably use it 3 times a week when my skin is really bad. It gently exfoliates the skin after use, dries it up and makes it feel a lot smoother after the first use.

This stuff is not cheap. I usually get the small tub and only use it when my skin really needs some help. It is so worth the money though, if only for my sanity. NO I'm not getting acne again, but my skin does need a bit of help when I'm reaching for this. I won't use or purchase another clay mask or similar since discovering this.

All hail the only spot cream ever invented that doesn't dry your skin or turn you into 80% scales. I like you a lot. I've repurchased this for the second time now and it's such a blessing in disguise when I get angry spots. It has a slightly sticky consistency that does not dry on your skin. I've found it really effective in reducing the size and colour of my spots.

When your skin is crying out, the spots need moisture to get better not drying out to the point that you end up with another skin issue entirely. I thank Caroline Hirons for this little tip! The control gel now comes in a plastic tube unlike it's previous metal like tube that ends up cutting your hands to pieces, with the gel oozing out of every orifice it can find. It lasts sooo long too, I don't think I need to sell it to you anymore, just do it.

Kiehls Midnight Recovery Concentrate 30ml - £38.00

I never thought I'd be one of those people that actually bought Kiehls, like who the Frick do I think I am? I only ever end up buying high end skincare bits when I have leftover euros at duty free. Like I'd rather have 2 dominos than actually treat my skin, but trust me on this, this is another product I now cannot do without.

I only use this product once my skin has started to decongest and is feeling better, because its a bit like adding fuel to the fire else. I use this in the evenings after my normal skincare routine (cleanser if I'm lucky, if not I'm looking at you face wipes) - I use 2 drops of the oil and dab it onto my face. I then put face cream on over the top as I tend to get quite dry skin. I wake up looking like a new woman when I use it, my skin is less dull and looks healthier than it did before. I wouldn't say it helps keep my spots at bay, it is an oil so use sparingly. I love using this after I've been travelling and my skin needs a bit of TLC. Kiehls products are expensive, but worth the money!
spotty-skin-products
Armed with my 3 favs, I know a clear skin day is never too far away. I also use a lot of Simple products too because HEY this girl got a mortgage to pay. But I find they're so perfect for my skin type, no nonsense and simple products that don't upset or overload my skin. It's a bit like buying clothing from Primark I guess, mix your expensive products with cheaper products to nail the perfect skincare routine!

What are your go to boo's for spotty skin?

Friday Favourites: The Shower Edit

original-source-shower-milks
Contrary to popular belief I DO actually have showers, and not just constant Lush baths, just so you know. Like baths, they're one of those things that you just look forward to at the end of the day, and totally the highlight of any day when you've done nothing but lounge around in your pjs all day (best type of day in my opinion).

It's just the concoction of lots of shower luxuries that I just enjoy the most. We all have our favourite lineup for the shower, but I do like to mix it up sometimes and try something new. Despite receiving enough shower gel this Christmas to last me for the whole year, I can't resist adding to it when I spot something I love on offer, or something new and exciting.

So, this Friday favourites will be going over my shower edit and my current lineup. I may make these edits a thing if you enjoy them, like Nicole's breakfast edit, Nicole's Bath edit, Nicoles makeup edit, more of that type of thing I'm thinking as it makes it fun and interesting. But for now take a peek into what I'm currently reaching for in my shower...
original-source-shower-milks
original-source-shower-milks
Original Source was probably one of the first 'grown up' brands I remember reaching for when I was younger. Despite the influx of new shower products on the market and my growing obsession for Lush, they'll always be a place in my heart for the classic Lavender and Lime original source shower gel. They just smell so good, and they're one of the only brands that actually help to get rid of that cloying chlorine smell after training. There really is nothing worse than coming to work and still smelling like a 25m swimming pool. I kid you not.

Determined to #ShakeUpYourShower in 2017, Original Source have created their new and ultra divine Moisturising Shower Milks* that are Vegan, are paired with delicious scents and they're so much more moisturising than your typical, everyday shower gel.

Firstly, they have a flavour that smells just like Bakewell Tart, the DREAM. Like, how is this possible? For this reason alone the Cherry & Almond Milk is undoubtedly my favourite, closely followed by Sweet Apple & Vanilla.

With 4 flavours to choose from, this is definitely going to be the hardest shower decision I'm faced with every day. But on the plus side, each shower milk is packed full of real vegan milk extracts, natural moisturisers and 100% natural fragrances. So whatever flavour you pick they'll help to deliver a moisturising shower to leave you smelling fruity fresh for the rest of the day.

These no nonsense, fuss free shower milks are a dream for busy people like me. I'll even go as far as missing my moisturising regime after a shower if I've used these, score another 10 minutes time to scroll through my phone before work!
original-source-shower-milks
You've probably tried Original Source at some point in your life so you'll already know how amazing and affordable they are. These shower milks are only around the £1.80 - £2 mark and usually on special offer, so adding one of these to your next weekly shop isn't going to break the bank!

Have you tried any of these before? Which fragrance is your favourite?

10 Steps To The Ultimate Pamper Night

pamper-night
As soon as the weather starts to get a bit colder and it's dark by 5pm it makes it incredibly acceptable to have a pamper night every night, am I right? I like the idea of hibernating throughout the winter period, and keeping warm and cosy when I get home from work. I find a proper good pamper night makes me feel so much better, and it helps me to get a good nights sleep too. There's no elusive rules to how you have to pamper, but a few of the right products and a little bit of structure will help make that day end on a good note.

Don't go thinking pamper nights are just for weekends, NO, NO NO. They'll come in handiest when you've had the Monday from hell, the day that everything seems to go wrong and when you just need a little cheering up. Don't understimate the pamper night, it really is magic, and these are the 10 commandments you need to be following to achieve the ultimate of pamper nights!
pamper-night
pamper-night
1. Lose the phone

Okay, so I really need to start following my own commandements, but seriously put your phone away for the evening - you don't need me to tell you how much of a time waster a phone is, before you know it you've stumbled onto someone's instagram page and you then find yourself on your sisters, boyfriends, aunties, dogs page by the end of the night, and guess what? Nothing has been achieved and you've been on your phone for 3 hours.

If you don't think you can do this, at least put your phone away half an hour before bed so your brain can try to switch off.

2. Candles/ Soft Lighting

If you're on the Hygge hype as much as me, you'll know how much candles play a central part in Hygge. If you're surrounded by candles/soft lighting you're half way to achieving that 'hygge' comforting feeling. Lit or not lit, they look great, so they're a must.

3. Comfy Clothes

Regardless to whether it's a pamper night or not, the first thing I do when I get home is take off my work clothes and put on something a lot more comfortable. HELLO elasticated waistbands and t-shirts that don't fit. It also means that you're in the perfect situ to start eating your way into a food coma...

4. Be Clean

Before you go reaching for your pamper night snacks, lets not be forgetting the basic levels of hygiene. I am not shy about telling people about my mild OCD with hand washing and general fear of germs and catching colds, working in an office 5 days a week has me fearing for my health every week so hand washing duties need to be on top form.

I ALWAYS use anti bacterial gel hand washes as I still cant get my head around traditional bars of soap, how and why can that be hygienic? I cringe every time I see a singular bar of soap in a public toilet, I don't think so. Carex soap is always my go to whether it's pamper night or not, but I feel the new Fun Edition Love Hearts Carex Hand Wash* was made for the ultimate pamper night. There's nothing antiseptic or hospital smelling about this soap, my inner child is oh so excited about the retro vibe of this soap and it smells sooooo good, and it's all about spreading the love, not the germs with this fun edition of the soap. It's like you can taste the sweets fizzing in your mouth when you have a deep inhale of the hand wash. I think I could even bathe in this stuff it's so good. Not forgetting to mention that it's also pink? I'll have 10 bottles please.

5. Face Mask

I'm still meaning to get into a proper cleansing routine, especially after I witnessed what my skin looked like after I had an Elemis skin analysis, but that's a different story all together... Anyway, a face mask will help those skin issues feel like a temporary problem when you slather one on your face. I usually pop mine on before I have a soak in the bath so it can get to work.

I'm currently loving the Pure Clay purity mask which is part of Loreal Paris's range of 3 masks which all work to target different problem areas of skin. I'm also loving the Nuxe Paris Masque Creme Fraiche de Beaute, perfect for pre nights out as your makeup goes on flawlessly afterwards!

6. Have A Soak

No great pamper night is started without a Lush bath. I'm sorry, but it just can't and won't happen - I won't allow it! I usually keep a little basket full of sweet smelling bath bombs and bubble bars waiting to be plucked for a nice little bath. I feel so much better after a Lush soak lasting at least an hour, take a peep at my Halloween Lush Haul if you're not sure what to pick up for your next bath!

It definitely helps having a little supply of bath bombs to hand though for when you're in need of a little relaxation!
monsters-ball-lush-bath-bomb

7. Moisturise

Seal that lovely post bath skin in with a luxury body moisturiser to keep your skin soft and supple, I can never be bothered to moisturise during the winter as it's so cold when you get out of the shower/bath - but skin gets sooo dry during the winter so it's a must, and your skin will feel so much better for it.

I usually have a 'special' moisturiser for pamper nights to make it extra special, I save my Twilight scented Lush moisturiser for that which is just a dream to be slathered in. Scented with lavender, I'm practically ready for bed once it's soaked into my skin, it makes me feel so relaxed and I'm then ready to slip my jim jams on!

8. Pyjamas

Is it weird that I just LOVE new pyjamas, I have a whole drawer full and I just can't get enough. Considering we do spend almost half of our lives in them I think it's an acceptable item to invest in - we need to be cosy after all.

I am literally obsessed with these cactus pjs from Asos, when I first got them I thought they were a bit 'thin' for winter, but they are made from modal which is an eco-friendly manmade fabric which is actually incredibly warm. I mean the whole style and pattern obviously does it for me, who doesn't want a pair of cactus covered pjs really?
asos-cactus-pjs

sleep-plus-pillow-spray
9. Books

It's really sad that the only time I really get to read a book now is when I'm on a holiday, I feel like I never have time to do so during the week, but it's one of those things that you NEED to make time for. Reading is so relaxing, whether it's a mag, chick flick or a self help book, and boy am I loving those at the moment.

I've already worked my way through The Little Book of Hygge, but I'm now working my way back through strategically, trying to make my life as Hygge as poss! James also picked me up this blogging book for my Birthday, boy did good! I'll definitely be avidly reading this one if it means I can think my way into being a full time blogger by next week...

10. Pillow Spray

Once your phone is firmly out of sight, you've read a few pages of your book and you're reading for sleep, help make the process that bit easier by putting a spritz of pillow spray onto your pillows.

I swear by the This Works sleep plus lavender scented pillow spray, it smells soooo good. I don't actually know if I can link it to a better nights sleep, but it does help me relax and unwind than with nothing, so it's definitely worth a little spritz on pamper night!
pamper-night

There's not always time for a pamper night, but it's so important to 'make' time and look after yourself. I've never once not had a pamper night and felt at least 70% better afterwards for doing it. But lets face it, I don't really need any excuse for a pamper night and neither should you!

Is Friday your pamper night? What is your ultimate pamper night? Have you tried the new love hearts carex scented soap?

Lush Halloween 2016 Haul

Lush-Halloween-2016
There's honestly nothing I love more about winter than long, hot lush baths - don't they just make everything better? After my local Lush Halloween & Christmas preview, I was inundated with bath products that I wanted to pick up, I try to buy the whole collection of the seasonal ranges as I just love trying them all out, and this years collection has 100% outdone last years. I was also lucky enough to get the big Pumpkin gift for my Birthday, so I have plenty of bath bombs, bath melts and shower gels to get stuck into. You'll be in for a bewitching bath time treat with this little collection, but the question is, will I be able to use them all up before Halloween?
Lush-Halloween-2016
Lush-Halloween-2016
Okay, so this little cutie is part of the Christmas range, but I couldn't wait to show you this little guy! Jester bubble bar wand comes with a dinky little bell and ribbon, with just the cutest little face. I love bubble bars as they're so long lasting, I can usually get 5 baths out of them at a push. Swish it around the bath for plenty of bubbles and lots of colour, this one smells like zesty tangerines, yum!
Lush-Halloween-2016
Lush-Halloween-2016
If you're #TeamTwilight you are going to LOVE their new additions to the twilight range. I have been hankering after twilight shower gel since the first limited edition ones came out almost 4 years ago. To be reunited with the body lotion that is scented like twilight is heavenly. It is the most mousturising and gorgeous smelling body lotion I have ever used, unfortunately this is also going to be a limited edition item so I'm going to have to stock up on this one before it goes. It's the perfect post bathtime skin treat, before slipping on my fav cactus pjs!
Lush-Halloween-2016
I always love the seasonal shower gels they release, Rose Jam was one of my favourites from a couple of years ago which is also back this year! Bubbly shower gel certainly packs a punch, it's super fruity, zesty and scented with sweet orange oil and fresh grape juice!
Lush-Halloween-2016
I rarely pick up soaps from Lush as I'm very much an anti-bac soap girl, I definitely have a minor OCD when it comes to washing hands, especially when I'm trying to avoid colds in the office... But I got given these little samples of Santas Postbox and Shooting Stars soap at the blogger event. Their soaps do smell sooo amazing though and I'm already giving Shooting Stars a try! I'm currently keeping Santa's postbox in my drawer and it is smelling amazing, I can't wait to get it out for the run up to Christmas, eek!
Lush-Halloween-2016
Sparkly Pumpkin is back for another year and it will always remain as my bubble bar of choice for the actual day of Halloween. It's super glittery and it produces a carrot coloured, bubbly bath. But if glitter isn't for you, they've also released a plain pumpkin bath bomb this year!
Lush-Halloween-2016
Oh, Boo! You were wrong if you didn't think their selection could get any cuter! Boo is the cuest mini bubble bar around, this ghoulish guy is scented with mimosa, and earthy warming ginger. As it melts into the bath it leaves behind a ghoulish, noursishing cocoa butter trail.
Lush-Halloween-2016
Lord of misrule is back with a vengeance this year after being slightly redesigned, I love the colours this one fizzes out when it's popped into the bath. It features a spicy herbal blend of patchouli and black pepper oil for a fragrant bath. This years version also contains popping candy in the middle, what's not to love?
Lush-Halloween-2016
For those who just want a good old classic for Halloween, this pumpkin bath bomb will do just the trick. Besides from being super cute, it is scented with a comforting vanilla absolute and spicy cinnamon scent, I can't wait to have a soak with this one on a cold, rainy night!
Lush-Halloween-2016
The thing I love most about Autumn is all the beautiful colours we see from the falling leaves, and Autumn Leaf bath bomb beautifully captures this. As it slowly fizzes away like a cartwheel it continues to release more autumnal colours, it's probably one of the most colourful from the Halloween collection. It's a real winter warmer!
Lush-Halloween-2016
Monsters Ball bath bomb is a new addition to the Halloween collection this year and he is just perfect!! He reminds me of Monsters Inc with the colouring and cyclops eye! I used this one at the weekend, and loved the beautiful mix of colours that fizzed away, even once the bath bomb has fizzed you won't miss the little eye that peeks through the bubbles!
Lush-Halloween-2016
The Halloween products are hauntingly good, and I'm so ready to embrace the cold, dark winter nights now. Nothing seems too bad when you have a colourful, fragrant bath bomb to indulge in after a day at work. I'm not going out in fancy dress for Halloween this year, but you'll find me having a bath or two with one of these guys over the weekend!

Have you picked up anything from the Lush halloween collection? What are your plans for Halloween?

Satori Salon, Plymouth Blogger Evening

Satori-Salon-Plymouth
The last 2 weeks have been a whirlwind of blogger events which is amazing because hello, I live in Plymouth! It's also been pretty exhausting too, especially as I have to rush straight from work and make my way into town, but last Friday provided me with the type of relaxation I was in desperate need of and my evening at Satori Salon definitely didn't disappoint. Satori is situated in Drake Circus and is renown for being Plymouth's premier beauty salon for men and women. Despite being a regular visitor to my local shopping mall, I'd never paid a visit to the salon before, probably because I'm usually on a rampant shopping haul in Primark, so this evening was a first for me, and surrounded by a handful of some of the other lovely Plymouth bloggers, we were ready for an evening of discovery of all things threading, microblading and having our face analysed at the Elemis skin lab...
Satori-Salon-Plymouth
When you step inside the Salon, you wouldn't think you were in one of the busiest shopping malls in the South West. It's like a little haven from the hustle and bustle of life, and it's so lovely.
Satori-Salon-Plymouth
The major attraction for the evening was watching a live demo of microblading, most people have heard of this treatment at some point and most definitely googled it, because I know I have. In Asia it's known as eyebrow embroidery, but it's actually known as semi-permanent eyebrow tattoos in the UK. I don't think it's a treatment for me, but I was intrigued to see how it was done, and whether it really was as painful as people make it out.
Satori-Salon-Plymouth
A microblading treatment requires two application sessions in order to achieve the best results, and one session can take around 90 -120 minutes to complete, with the treatment lasting on your eyebrows on average 12-18 months. This is a pretty long time that you can have some relief from drawing your eyebrows in so I can definitely see why it's a great solution for some. But it's not just for people that have fair eyebrows or those who want more definition. I hadn't really thought of it before, but Stuart, the co-owner of Satori said that a lot of people who are going through chemotherapy and have lost their hair opt for this treatment. Brows really do shape your face, and to be given something like this back when you've lost your hair is something that will go a long way with your self confidence.
Satori-Salon-Plymouth
Gemma was the guinea pig for the microblading and had previosuly had microblading on her brows, for her this has meant she has an extra 20 or 30 minutes or so in bed every morning because she no longer has to spend any time making her brows look perfect! That has to be good, right? The most popular question for this treatment was, does it hurt? Whilst some people can feel uncomfortable, most feel no pain at all and to put you at ease, 2 anaesthetics are used in this procedure, which is topped up regularly during the treatment.

The treatment is done in such a lovely environment that you would immediately be put at ease. During the first application, they will make sure that you are 100% happy with the shape before you leave which is nice to know, as I've had a proper mare with an 'eyebrow specialist' before!
Satori-Salon-Plymouth
This is what Gemma's brows looked like immediately after the treatment, it looks just like she's had them tinted, there isn't much redness, and the shape looks amazing! The colour will initially look darker and your eyebrows may be slightly swollen, but as the skin heals this will subside and your eyebrows will get slightly lighter. The best thing was that you really couldnt tell that Gemma had had this treatment done, but her eyebows looked visibly more defined and darker.

A microblading session at Satori costs £250 which is actually reasonable when you think how much your brow products cost over time. It's definitely a fantastic option for girls who have had enough of drawing their brows in day in, day out!
Satori-Salon-Plymouth
If this isn't the perfect setup I don't know what is! Food, prosecco and foot spas were just a taster of what the rest of the evening had in store for us!
Satori-Salon-Plymouth
Satori-Salon-Plymouth
Like a traditional salon, you can also get a full manicure and pedicure at Satori which is a much more suitable treatment for the faint hearted like me! Their gel nail treatments all use OPI nail polishes and CND shellac. They've just had a swoon worthy collection of Autumn polishes come instore which are to die for!
Satori-Salon-Plymouth
We were also shown around their beautiful range of Deliah cosmetics by Daisy, I mean if it has rose gold packaging I'm already sold! They have lots of beautiful blushes, lipsticks and a very similar retractable eyebrow pencil with brush that looks identical to the Anastasia Beverly Hills version!

Satori charge a really reasonable £20 for a make over which is redeemable against a product purchased when your makeup is completed. The best thing is that they still offer this service even during the busy Christmas period which is perfect for those Christmas parties! I know where I'll be heading before my Christmas work meal this year...
Satori-Salon-Plymouth
Satori-Salon-Plymouth
Satori-Salon-Plymouth
Some serious swooning was done over the OPI nail polishes!
Satori-Salon-Plymouth
We then had a chance to have our eyebrows threaded which I was particularly excited for. To be honest I have spent the last 4 months growing my brows out and I'm now really happy with my shape, I'd given up with waxes as I felt it gave a really sharp edge, they always end up taking off too much and I've had a really bad experience with waxing before... But anyway, I wasn't in the need for threading my brows as I had spent so long growing them out, but I'd always been intrigued as to how they do it and how it feels. Natasha suggested just getting the middle of my brows tidied up, and for such a small area I was literally astounded at the difference it made!
Satori-Salon-Plymouth
Obviously, I had a smaller area done than you would with brows, but it 100% did not hurt like waxing does. It felt more like a light scratching and was almost a little bit ticklish. Threading is mostly painless and is a great option for people with sensitive skin like me because you're not adding any products to the skin which can irritate it. I am definitely a threading convert and I never really realised I even had hair in my 'monobrow' area before, but my makeup has gone on so much smoother and has made such a difference. You can also get your lip area, chin and cheeks area threaded which I'm really tempted to do if I have a special occasion coming up as I have a lot of fine, white baby hair on my cheeks, and the thought of how flawless my makeup would go on afterwards is like a dream!
Satori-Salon-Plymouth
The Elemis Skin Lab was by far the most popular area of the evening, I think every blogger tried this out and loved it. The skin lab provides your skin with an individual analyis by taking a picture of your skin. All the bloggers were gathering around everyone's readings and comparing in admiration or commiseration. The analysis prints out a full skin analysis score of spots, wrinkles, texture, pores, brown spots and red areas. Also can we just have a look at how long my hair is in this picture?! I forget how long it looks as I never really see the back of it!

I was mostly worried about brown spots as I have had a lot of exposure to the sun and have damaged it a lot in the past, but it was surpisingly one of the better areas which I was so relieved about. Based on your scores for each area, it then recommends a full list of lovely Elemis products to help you streamline your skin care, and of course improve your readings. It was really helpful as sometimes you can spot things on your skin, but not know what your skin is really in need of. My major problem was skin dehydration from not using a hydrating facial cream, I also need to work on those damn pores, I think I'll book in for a facial so the hard wortk can be done for me!

The Elemis Skin Lab was only in Satori for a flying visit, but it will be back again on Friday 25th November from 9am to 2pm so they can provide an additional analysis and recommendations. The perfect time to check your skin to see how it's faring before all the Christmas parties commence!

Satori have also recently announced an exciting parternship with Hartley Clinic in Mannamead who can provide facial fillers, anti-wrinkle treatments and bespoke teeth whiteneing. This means that Satori can now offer an enhanced beauty offering to their existing and new clients. I for one am definitely considering teeth whitening in the next year or so, I blame my love for Nakd bars and braces for this!

A big thank you to Stuart, Natasha and Edd Jones (from Hartley Clinic) for putting the evening together. I had such a fantastic time taking a peek inside the workings of Satori and learning more about their amazing treatments. I'm now a threading convert, in desperate need of a good facial and have a penchant for OPI nail polishes. I'll be back in to see you guys soon for some much needed relaxation at this busy time of the year!

To see more from Satori, give them a follow on Twitter!

Have you visited Satori before? Have you tried threading before? Are you tempted by microblading treatments?
