Britney Spears Hair care range | Lidl

Britney-Spears-haircare-range-lidl
It's flashback Friday to my childhood obsession with Britney Spears in today's post! How could I have imagined that almost 10 years later she would be releasing her own hair care range for none other than Lidl. Renowned for their amazing selection of European foods and other special offers which certainly don't break your bank, this newly released range is no different. Britney Spears hair care range launched yesterday (18 December) and will only be available in stores whilst stocks last!! The prices of her range are insanely good and the products on offer are a hairdryer, mini hair straighteners, hairbrushes, a hair straightener, hot air styler and a multi function styler. In the words of Britney 'Don't keep me waiting', I know you're all dying to find out what her products are actually like...If Britney isn't really your cup of tea, don't let you put that off she really has pulled it out of the bag with this one.

Multi-Function Styler £11.99* This styler comes in at one of the most expensive products from her line but which is still such a low price for a versatile appliance. Like the name says, it really does offer a variety of different ways that you can style your hair. The appliance comes with 7 different styling attachments which can help you to create; straight hair, crimped waves, soft waves, corkscrew curls, large volume waves, small soft curls or crimped curls.

For the time being I won't be testing out the curling elements to this because of my hair disaster last week!! However, I have been wanting a crimper styler for soo long, it's not the most conventional hair style and it is definitely overlooked by curls or straight hair but I think it looks so unique and it's something else that definitely reminds me of my childhood. It's a great styler as it appeals to everyone's hair types and allows you to switch and change your hair style on any given day.

The easy lock system on the handle makes it a smooth process to change over the attachments.

With any curling appliances I get so frustrated when the wire seems to tangle and wrap it's way around with each curl which can be highly annoying and time consuming to untangle. This styler has a 360 degree rotating handle which should ensure that this kind of thing doesn't happen.
Britney-Spears-haircare-range-lidl Mini hair straighteners £4.99* I have tried various different hair straighteners over the years but have never actually come across a mini pair like this! They immediately jump out to me as being an amazing pair for short hair or for taking away with you when you go travelling.
Britney-Spears-haircare-range-lidlDespite their tiny size they can still retain a constant temperature of 180 degrees. The plates have a ceramic coating which ensures even heat distribution throughout the hair. I had to do a double take at the price of these, £4.99 is an absolute bargain for such a great and handy essential! I will no longer have to compromise on having frizzy hair because I haven't been able to fit my straighteners into my bag. They would make a fab stocking filler or a secret Santa present, they'd even be a great size for boys who like to straighten their hair. Thanks to Lidl stocking these around Europe they can be used all around the world as they have an automatic voltage adjustment. These are by no means a patch on my GHD's as I have far too much hair for these to make a decent impact, but my mum tested these out who has short hair and found that they were much easier for her to use and style with than the standard size of straighteners, and they did adequately straighten her hair in little to no time. So in conclusion, these are only really suitable for you if you have short to mid length hair but as I've said before these would be great for travelling and for touching up the odd kink in your hair, quickly and easily.

Both of these hair styling products came with a really in depth instruction booklet which is definitely a thing that products nowadays seem to lack, albeit it more times than one I won't bother with the instructions but again after last weeks hoo haa I will definitely be reading into the small print to make sure things are suitable for my hair to avert any future disasters. Lidl have really catered for all European countries too ensuring that the instructions are written in various different languages. It goes without saying that I think the packaging of these is perfect. I initially thought that these products would been targeted to a young age and I think the brown/gold packaging makes it look a lot more grown up and sophisticated. I think these products are perfect for a younger market, perhaps for a child's first set of hair straighteners etc but the packaging really does make it open to a much wider range and I think they've got the packaging of it just right.

Hairbrush £1.99 Britney Spears hair care range also offers a selection of different hair brushes each to suit the different individuals hair, there's one for long, short, thick or fine hair. I do love a wide brush like this as it helps to cover more of my long hair at once. Nothing will ever convert me from my tangle teezer, but it's great to have an extra handy brush when I need one.

I'm very impressed with Britney Spears hair care range overall as you just can't go wrong with the prices, they almost seem too good to be true..but there really is no catch! Out of the three products I trialled the mini hair straighteners were without a doubt my favourite mainly down to the fact of their discrete size. I can really see these being a huge hit across Lidl stores! As I mentioned before Britney Spears hair care range is only available whilst stocks last, they really would make great extra presents, so if you want to try these out for yourselves or give as presents you do need to be quick to avoid disappointment. You can check the availability of these products in your local Lidl store here.

What do you think of Britney Spears hair care range? Would you want to try any of these products? Which product is the most appealing to you?

Winter Beauty Favourites!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas eeep! This time next week it will be Christmas Eve and I just cannot wait, I have so much to do before then, but I'm very pleased to say that my Christmas shopping is almost complete! To prepare you for the rest of the winter ahead and the upcoming party season I've put together some of my favourite winter beauty products that in my eyes are essentials to keep yourself ticking by. Your face is one of the places that gets hit by the harshest conditions in the winter so taking care of your skin and looking after it is definitely something that should be at the top of everyone's priorities. I've recently discovered some amazing new brands that I really don't know what I did without before. Cue some gorgeous beauty products that you may just want to purchase after reading this...
Benefit-fakeup
Benefit-fakeup
Whilst at uni Benefit makeup was off the cards and being able to afford it again is such a luxury. Benefit is one of my favourite beauty brands and I adore testing out their newest products. Fakeup came out about last year, sooo behind the times I know, I will probably do a full review on this at some point. It's definitely a winter essential as it is the least drying concealer I have ever used. It has hydrating crease control with vitamin E and apple seed extract. It really helps to cover my dark circles and does indeed help to brighten up my under eye area. It doesn't provide the best coverage but this product does not dry up or look cakey on my face at all throughout the day and that's definitely a huge benefit whilst battling the cold weather.
hand-chemistry-hand-cream
A hand cream is without a doubt one of the essentials in winter. I was lucky enough to find this one inside the Lookfantastic November beauty box. A brand I hadn't previously heard of but now seriously love. It is one of the best hand creams I have used in terms of properly nourishing my skin. The smell is like sherbert sweets which is quite unusual but not unpleasant, and it makes a change to the standard cocoa butter smells that you get. For an extra treat I pop a good layer of this underneath some cotton gloves whilst I sleep and let it do all the magic!
origins-drink-up-mask
Seriously.. BEST MASK EVER!! I reviewed this in full last year if you want to read that here. I have had this for a year now and there is still plenty left which really makes the price justifiable. If you do suffer from dry skin in winter then this mask is your answer. Leave it on for 10 minutes and it allows your skin to literally drink up the moisture. The dryness seems to disappear after one use and it leaves your skin looking much more plump. With the party season approaching it is an absolute essential to your makeup routine before a night out as make up applies much more easily to the skin, giving you a really flawless and dewy finish.
beegood-lip-balm
This cute little lip balm came in the goody bag from the Sotonmeetup and I've only just got round to testing it out. It really is love at first slick with this product, its so easy to apply with the applicator and the product glides on really easily without being greasy, it's much more moisturising than a standard lip balm as it just seems to stay on the lips and sink into the skin much faster. The smell is gorgeous too, anything containing honey will be a favourite product of mine. I am so impressed with this product though and I am tempted to try out some other products from the Bee Good range.
witch-blemish-stick

Witch Blemish Stick £2.70
This was another product from the sotonmeetup goodybag. I have used many Witch products in the past but this was one of their newest releases I believe, I also love the new sleek packaging of their products. My skin seems to get worse and worse as the winter goes on, my skin is crying out for some help or sun to help dry my spots out. This stick is really easy to use, I usually apply it with a cotton bud though so I don't spread any bacteria around the whole stick. The smell is not too strong either which is a bonus and it's not drying at all like many spot products can be. I haven't seen any breathtaking results yet but I'm determined to keep on using it to help prevent further spot outbreaks.
glamglow-mask
 Glam Glow Youthmud Tingleexfoliante Treatment*
Another amazing product that was in the Lookfantastic beauty box. I seriously wish it wasn't because I have fallen completely head over heels in love with the product and looking at the price tag of the full size makes me cry inside a little bit!! This exfoliating facemask leaves my skin feeling amazing and so soft, it really helps to get the rubbish deep inside my skin to the surface. It instantly brightens my face and I try to use it once a week but I think there's only about one use left in it now *boo*! This product has brought quite a few spots to the surface though but at least I know that it's doing it's job! I will definitely be treating myself to the full size in the new year.
Benefit-high-beam
Mini benefit samples make me so happy and I try to stock up on these when I can. Samples are a great way to try out products and in the hope that customers will then buy the full size and it works, because I will definitely be buying the full size of this when my samples run out. I've only used a powder highlighter before this and I do find it quite drying. This is a liquid highlighter and it's so easy to apply to your skin, It creates the most perfect dewy look and really helps to make your skin look much brighter. It really is the most prefect highlighter for winter as again it stays put on the skin all day and doesn't go dry or flaky.
I really loved sharing my Winter beauty favourites with you, it's amazing what unique products I have discovered from blogging. I'm definitely poorer for it but I wouldn't change it for the world! I would love to know what all your winter beauty essentials are...

What do you think of my Winter beauty favourites? Do you like any of these? What are your essential products for winter?

OOTD | Dear Santa I want it all....

Shorts - Hollister (old)
Watch - Michael Kors
I hope you all had a lovely weekend! I'm still feeling pretty down about my hair after last weeks drama, I've been reluctant to visit a hairdressers as they always cut way too much off but I'm going to pluck the courage up to go this week as it's really getting me down now, boo! Anyway, enough with the negativity for a Monday!! It feels like I haven't done an outfit post in weeks!! I sure do miss doing them but it's always hard to make sure the weather and lighting are just perfect, it's always too dark after work for me to take pictures too, but I really have been enjoying writing lots of beauty posts the past few weeks!

This has got to be my favourite Christmas jumper to date, if you remembered I featured this in my Christmas jumpers wishlist. It's the most understated Christmas jumper I have but it's so chic and I adore the colour. Teamed with my very old Hollister tartan shorts makes for a very christmassey outfit! I was also lucky enough to win these gorgeous boots in Jessica's (Blondeofcarbs) giveaway, they are super cosy and I love the shiny patent material to them which really makes a change to my standard boots!

I hope you all have a great Monday! What do you think of this outfit? Do you have a favourite Christmas jumper? Do you think tartan is a Christmassey material?

Christmas gift guide | For her

Swatch Watch / Soap and Glory / Dolce Vita Palette / House of Holland nails / Mermaid clutch / Reindeer slippers / Pom Pom hat / Glamglow / Christmas socks / Fur phone case / Frosties lip salve / Molton Brown cracker

It may be a Christmas gift guide but I would literally be over the moon if I found a few of these bits in my sack this year (*hint hint*). I have rounded up a selection of some gorgeous gifts all priced under £40 including some beauty bits and accessories, what more could a girl want?!

I think Watches2U have a really great selection of watches ranging in prices and you can't go wrong with a standard white watch like the one above, they are much more slim lined than ice watches too! I'm sure most of you are aware but the amazing Soap and Glory gift set is currently £29.99 down from £60 - massive bargain! We all know they do this deal every year and anyone would be mad to buy it before!  The rest of the gifts are mainly stocking fillers under £10 which would make perfect little extras for your mum, sisters, aunties and friends etc and especially if you still have to buy any secret Santa presents! I hope you find this useful if you are going Christmas shopping this weekend but if not I hope you all have a lovely weekend!

What do you think of this gift guide? What things are you wishing for this Christmas? Is there anything you would love to receive from my gift guide?
