OOTD | Feelin' Festive

Jumper - H&M
Jeans - Topshop
Brogues - Dune (similar here)

It feels good to be back posting so much more regularly and I do love doing outfit posts, I'm making it a conscious effort to try and get some more each weekend if I can, as I have a lot of sharing my newest clothes with you to do!!

I spotted this stag shirt at the end of last month and I was gutted that it was completely sold out, I even looked in an Asda in Scotland I was that desperate!! I was sooo happy when it came back in stock last week and it's the perfect festive shirt. I love the design, and it looks great layered with this old Christmas jumper I picked up from H&M last year. I will probably feature this shirt in another outfit post as I love it so much, it was only £14 from Asda too, what a find!!  I can't remember if I've worn these glittery brogues in an outfit post before but if not WHY?! I instantly feel like a princess in these shoes, they are just so beautiful!! I even wear them to work sometimes, because why not?

What do you think of this outfit? Would you wear glittery brogues to work? Do you like the stag shirt?

My Favourite Things About Christmas

New-look-christmas-jumper
Now that there's only 10 days until Christmas I'm finally starting to feel festive, and as for most people the run up to Christmas really is my favourite time, filled with my favourite festive things to do and traditions. New Look kindly gifted me one of their amazing novelty Christmas jumpers to get into the festive spirit and to share with you all how I usually like to spend my Christmas. I could be here all day telling you my favourite things about Christmas, so here are just a few things that make the build up to Christmas extra special for me!

Christmas Jumpers
You'll be hard pushed to try and find one year that I don't bring out the Christmas jumpers to wear in the run up to Christmas and on the big day, it's an easy way to get into the festive spirit. Christmas jumper day at work is also this Friday, it's kind of a tradition for me to wear a garish Christmas jumper on Christmas day too, so this novelty jumper from New Look fits the bill (they have a great selection of novelty jumpers like this too!). It even has jingle bells for the topping of the Christmas puddings and red sparkly pom poms for rudolphs nose, this jumper really does the whole sha-bang! As the years go by Christmas jumpers seem to get more garish than ever before, and I kinda like it! Nothing says Christmas like an in your face jumper that's something your parents would have worn in the 60s!

Cosy nights in
Cosy nights in are something I relish in all year round, but it's not quite the same when it's the summer and it's still light at 9pm! Getting dark at around 4 every day does have it advantages and with the colder days a cosy night in with festive films, hot chocolates and snacks are just what is needed! I try to make more time to do this over Christmas and it's much better sharing it with your family or friends!

Wrapping Presents
I don't know what it is but I just LOVE wrapping presents, I try to outdo my wrapping skills and actually have a Pinterest board dedicated to gift wrapping this year..I'm obsessed! I'm using brown wrapping paper as my base this year and will be sharing my gift wrapping ideas on the blog in the next week!
Santa-Decoration
Looking At Christmas Lights
There's nothing more festive than going for an evening walk and admiring all the pretty Christmas lights. The perfect time to soak up the beauty of these lights is when you're delivering Christmas cards to your neighbours. I also spend the run up to Christmas buying lots more Christmas decorations that I definitely don't need!
Food
Calories consumed during Christmas don't count right? Festive food is just the best and it gets better as the days in December roll by, you have to blow out the year on a high scale of gluttony, ready for all those new years resolutions to kick in! Whether it's chocolate, cakes, biscuits, cheese or pigs in blankets - I will be spending the majority of my Christmas eating food!
Decorating-Christmas-Tree
Presents
Okay, so we might not all say it but presents are one of the best bits about Christmas - and I don't just mean receiving them (although that is fabulous!). I love picking out presents for the special people in my life and I love seeing their faces on Christmas day. It makes all those hours spent in queues and stuffy shops definitely worth it!
Quality Time With Family & Friends
But most of all I love spending my Christmas with family and friends. Life is incredibly hectic for me at the moment and if I'm not at work I'm out with friends, exercising, blogging or having a weekend away. Christmas is the only time that I can properly sit down relax and enjoy the best company without any distractions or interruptions! So for me that really is my favourite way to spend Christmas!

Christmas really is just the best time of the year! The run up to Christmas really is the best bit though as I find Christmas day comes and goes in a flash so it's the little things like this that I love spending my time doing during Christmas!

How do you usually spend your Christmas? What are your favourite things at Christmas? Do you have any different traditions?

Merry #Kissmas With HQHair

HQhair
If there's one thing I love more than Christmas it has to be surprises! After a long week at work last week it was such a pleasant surprise to see this little box of Merry #Kissmas goodies* on my doorstep from HQhair. HQhair has such a great beauty offering with everything from hair products right down to nail varnish for your toes. There are so many great beauty ideas for stocking fillers and it's never to late to jot some of these ideas down onto your Christmas wishlist either! Santa in the form of HQhair really did come early for me this year!

grow-gorgeous-hair-masque
My hair always screams out for a conditioning hair mask in between harsh exposure to chlorine and damage from the sun. What I love about HQhair is that they have such a wide range of brands that I've never heard of or seen in the shops before. From the Grow Gorgeous range, this overnight to gorgeous hair masque is intended to be slathered on your hair before bed and rinsed off in the morning so it has a nice long time to soak into your hair. It works by smoothing, hydrating and strengthening your hair - a great mask for those who use a lot of heat on their hair too. So far I've only used this as a conditioner which I've left on for 5 minutes and my hair has felt so sleek and soft afterwards, when I get a chance I will definitely be wearing this one to bed!
Pur Minerals Eye Palette*
Like shoes and handbags a girl can never have too many eye palettes! These two palettes are perfect for both day time and night time eye looks. The HD brows palette is ideal for creating a dramatic and vampy eye look, the powders are highly pigmented and the shimmer it creates is just beautiful, it would look so good as a smoky eye with lashings of eyeliner. The Pur minerals palette is for me the typical type of shades that I would wear every day, the colours work perfectly together as a subtle smoky eye and it comes with a handy mirror and eye shadow brush which is perfect for travelling. These are two brands I have never tried before and it's always nice to be able to test out new brands that undoubtedly I will end up loving!
Since this arrived I've pretty much used it every day in my makeup routine! I love how easy it slides onto my eyes and it's nothing like a conventional black eye liner pencil that can feel scratchy and sharp on your eye lids. Its consistency is a bit like a soft crayon and it's so easy to apply that it should be a makeup staple for everyone!
Every girl loves a lip gloss! It has a subtle pinky shade which is more clear and glossy than anything which makes it a perfect every day shade. So far I'm impressed with the HD brows makeup and like always I wish I had tried out their makeup sooner!
Maybelline-master-sculpt
Maybelline-master-sculpt
This is the perfect compact  contouring kit for beginners like me who are still learning the art of contouring! This shade is in light/medium which really works well with my skin tone, I usually go for a bronzer that is slightly darker for a more defined and chiseled look, but this is a great one for a work look or for those with pale skin who are worried about their skin looking 'dirty' with a bronzer. It also has a handy highlighter next to it which can even be applied at the same time as the bronzer if you're careful with how you apply it to your brush. You can cheat your way to an easy contoured face with this kit in a few seconds flat which is what I love about it!
garnier-ultra-lift-eye-cream
Garnier Ultra Lift*
I've been saying for the last year or so that I'm too young to wear any anti wrinkle cream, but do you know what I actually saw frown lines on my head the other day (a mixture of laughing & frowning at my computer screen I think!), I don't think its ever too early to prepare your skin for ageing and as part of the Garnier ultra lift range this eye cream claims to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and can easily be applied around the eye area with its handy nozzle. I'll get back to you about how I get on with this one!
hand-chemistry-heel-complex
I love Hand Chemistry!! I was first introduced to the amazing hand cream in the Look Fantastic beauty box which was incredibly nourishing and beautifully scented. Now my hands are sorted for winter, I'm thankful for this heel hydration complex cream. It works by targetting dry and cracked heels and to prevent the hard skin cycle from forming again. If you're looking to test out their range for the first time they do a Hand Chemistry set which includes all of their top sellers!
redken-metal-fix-liquid
For someone who doesn't colour their hair anymore, these Redken metal fix liquids really excite me! They take me back to school discos where I used to wear streaks in my hair and spray paint my hair a wacky shade. These redken metal fix liquids are perfect for jazzing up your hair which gives shimmery and metallic results, don't think that this goes on as a block colour. It's much more subtle and sophisticated, I think I will be saving these for new years eve!
tangle-teezer-limited-edition-brush
tangle-teezer-limited-edition-brush
Can a girl ever have a thing as too many tangle teezers?! Never! I now own 5 and I love each one I get! A tangle teezer is my most used hair product and I now have one for all of my work bags, casual bags and swimming bags which is amazing! This limited edition Tangle Teezer is SO pretty, I really am such a sucker for limited edition items, this one won't be around for long so make sure you get one now so you don't miss out!

What do you think of these products? Have you tried any of these products?

Christmas Cheerz Box

Cheerz-Christmas-box
With Instagram, Facebook & Twitter taking precedence of photo albums I find myself uploading hundreds of photos a year onto an online library but never take the time to print them and put them into photo albums. When I was younger there was something so exciting about waiting for your photos to come back from being printed and looking at them years later to remember the great memories that you had. It's incredibly sad that we won't have what we had as we were younger as everything is online these days. Despite the ever advancement in digital technology, I still like to have a paper image in my hands that I can look at, and it's even more special than it ever used to be. That's why I jumped at the chance of having some of my Instagram snaps being printed by Cheerz! I picked their Christmas Cheerz Box* at £12.95 which as you can see comes beautifully wrapped, it was a super special early Christmas present and if you agree with all of my thoughts about how we don't take the time to cherish paper prints these days then you might be interested in Cheerz printing your pictures too!
Cheerz-Christmas-Box
The whole process of picking the photos for my Cheerz box was incredibly easy. You can select photos from all of your digital channels, Instagram, Facebook, Google + etc. Depending on the option you choose it will tell you how many photos you're limited to. The Cheerz box lets you add 30 photos which is a lot more than it seems and it took me a while to pick out my favourite ones! The Polaroid snaps also give you the option to add a caption to the bottom of each photo which I think is a lovely touch, especially if you want to add a funny caption, quote or memory! After you've picked your images and written your captions you're done - it really is as easy as that!
Cheerz-Christmas-Box

As you can see the Cheerz box came beautifully wrapped and even came with a selection of gift tags to attach to the box - this really is the perfect Christmas gift! There's nothing more special than giving someone a selection of photographs that really do last forever.

I was so impressed with the quality of these photos and I just love the Polaroid style of these prints, perfect for all those who are also wishing they owned their own Instax mini camera but can't justify the cost and for the expensive films! I love my little selection of images of my memories across the last year, printing my pictures is definitely something I'm going to do a lot more often from now on as the thought of losing all of my images on Facebook one day really would be like erasing my life!
Cheerz-Christmas-Box
The Christmas Cheerz box is the most perfect Christmas present that is thoughtful, beautiful and cute!! Cheerz also do a selection of other products including magnets, photo albums and strip photos. As Cheerz say 'One photo in your hand is worth 1,000 photos online'... and I couldn't agree with them more!

You can also order your own Cheerz box whether for yourself or for a Christmas present and get £4 off with every order over £8, simply enter code: NICSAP at the checkout!

What do you think of this Cheerz Christmas box? Do you keep all of your photos online too? Do you like having printed photos to look back on?
