 Glam Glow Youth Mud Face Mask* Amazing Concealer*

I received glam glow in the first ever lookfantastic beauty box I had and I was so upset when it ran out. The cost of this face mask is 100% justifiable as it is just amazing, it's the perfect mask for your skin when it's just feeling a bit bleurgh, its a gentle exfoliator too and which helps to draw out all of the impurities in your skin. Glam Glow is definitely one to snap up this Black Friday as it is a very expensive brand! Something else to help combat the dullness in your skin is this amazing concealer from Amazing Cosmetics. I've not heard of the brand before but it is used and loved by make up artists, models and more, and it's been dubbed as the "Best concealer in the world" - so it must be amazing right? Perfect for achieving flawless skin, this should be ideal for covering up my dark circles on those early mornings this winter. As it's 3 for 2 across both ranges this weekend I think I'm going to have to stock up so I have perfect skin for the start of 2016!

 Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge*

I've only started using makeup sponges recently and think the overall result is much more flawless than when using a brush or fingers. Unlike the one I currently have, this real techniques sponge is 3 in 1, so you can contour, blend large areas of your face and use the tip to cover up imperfections. If this sponge is anything like their brushes I'm sure it will be amazing, and with Black Friday they have a huge 35% off the core collection and 3 for 2 on everything else!

I have praised the tangle teezer in SO many hair blog posts now! Eve Lom is such a well known brand in the beauty industry, high quality products that are kind to skin and work miracles. I have had a lot of trouble with acne & spots in the past and I'm always looking to introduce new cleansers into my routine that will help remove my makeup without irritating my skin. These cleansers have been praised so much in the beauty world so I can't wait to start using these too. 

La Roche Posay Effaclar K (+)*

Lastly in the box was a full size product from La Roche Posay. Similar to the effaclar duo that I have used before, the Effaclar K (+) is designed for those with oily skin and it works to reduce blackheads and mattifies the skin for up to 8 hours from the first use -  definitely sounds like something I need! Having oily & combination skin is such a hassle to contend with, I wasn't that keen on the effaclar duo but I'm definitely going to give this one a try and I will let you know how I get on!

Kebelo Enriching Hair Care Range Review

I'm back from an amazing trip in Finland now (more about that in another post!) and I'm back with lots of fresh new content to bring to you, I also have the rest of the week off work so I have plenty of time for once to do some blogging! Recently Lookfantastic introduced me to an amazing new hair care brand called Kebelo. New brands that come onto the market ridiculously excite me as I rarely ever stick to one type of shampoo/conditioner. Kebelo seem to be a great universal brand and have products suitable for every hair type. They offer 4 different types of ranges to suit each individual including; the Revitalising Range, Enriching Range, Silk Range and Velvet Curls Range. They also have some clarifying products too which are perfect for all hair types, more about that later... I have been testing these products for over a couple of weeks now so lets see how I got on...

 Kebelo The Ultimate Enriching Set* £29.85

I opted for the enriching range which is designed for normal to dry hair. The set includes a shampoo, conditioner and hair mask and they are all enriched with guar sugar, wheat, argan and grape oil, this range intends to create softer, healthier hair that feels nourished from within. I think most people suffer from dry hair at some time in their life and no one likes having hair that resembles a piece of straw..This set is perfect for re hydrating dry and dull hair and restoring it to luscious and bouncy locks! 

I adore the packaging of these products, the different colours on the bottles makes it much easier to distinguish which one is the shampoo and conditioner, is it only me that always gets mixed up?! The shampoo and conditioner complement each other really well. The shampoo lathers up really well  and you can tell that there is guar sugar and grape oil in the products, as they do smell pretty similar to grapes... but not in a bad way! I have then been using the conditioner afterwards which leaves my hair so silky and smooth. This set was a no brainer for me as with long hair I do suffer with dry ends so it's really helped to add moisture back into my hair. On alternate washes I have been using the hair mask with the shampoo, you can leave masks on for however long you like really, this one suggests for 10-20 minutes, the longer the better in my opinion. As a real treat I love slathering my hair in this and wrapping cling film or a towel around my hair and sleeping with it in, as it gives your hair a nice long time to drink it up. As I swim a lot I also pop a good lathering of it under my hair cap and it works a treat from protecting it from the chlorine and preventing it from drying out even more!

Kebelo Clarifying Shampoo* (250ml) £12.95

I was also given the shampoo from the clarifying range to test out which is suitable for all hair types. Clarifying shampoos basically act as a detox for the hair, they help to exfoliate your hair and delicately strip the build up of chemicals from products, daily environmental factors and chlorine from swimming - an all round perfect product for me! This product can be used as little as once a month to help keep your hair free from a build up. Personally, I have been using this in most washes and have completely fell in love with it. The product strips your hair without being too harsh and you can definitely tell the difference when using this against a normal shampoo as it makes my hair feel a lot squeakier and dryer before putting conditioner onto my hair. Once dry my hair feels so much thicker, healthier and luscious and I could not recommend this product from the Kebelo clarifying range enough as it really is a product that everyone needs to look into using. It is natural for everyone to get a build up on their hair which does need to be exfoliated and gently removed occasionally, our hair is no different to our skin at the end of the day, the only difference is we can't see the build up on our hair!

A big thank you to Lookfantastic to introducing me to Kebelo, my hair is feeling better than ever with the enriching range and a well overdue detox with the clarifying shampoo! The ranges are reasonably priced and the bottles will probably last me for a few months as you don't need to use a lot of the product for each wash. I did love the enriching range but without a doubt the clarifying shampoo is the winner for me, I often forget that hair gets a build up and it's probably worse for me as my hair is exposed to a lot of chlorine and this shampoo has helped to revitalise my tired and dull tresses and make them look better than ever, forget the teatox its all about the hairtox this month!

Lookfantastic Beauty Box - December 2014

How is it December 1st already tomorrow?! The last month has flown by but that means its almost Christmas and...that the Lookfantastic December beauty box £15* is on sale tomorrow (1st December) from 9am yippee! The box has already sold out on pre-order so it's best to get in quick if you want to be the proud owner of this one. I received the November one and was blown over by the amazing brands that it contained and this box is no different. The box is jam packed with premium brands, as if that isn't enough to tempt you into purchasing one they also ship worldwide for free! There really is no catch with this box, for only £15 you get a box full of goodies worth a considerable amount more, it gives us a chance to try amazing brands that we might not necessarily be able to purchase otherwise.

Opening it is always the most exciting part....

This months box contains an impressive 7 products!! The November Lookfantastic beauty box contained 6 and I thought that was amazing for the cost and again this box contains a great selection of products too ranging from skincare, makeup, hair care and even a product that works from the inside out, they've got it all covered again in this box!

Macadamia Infused comb I have been wanting to try an oil infused comb/brush for months now and my wish has finally been granted, thank you Lookfantastic! I stopped using combs since I discovered the tangle teezer as I always found they snagged my hair but I'm definitely going to be giving this a try. The comb is infused with macadamia oil with a specially formulated resin to nourish and detangle hair. It means that it should be able to kindly detangle hair whilst infusing it with oil, I apply oil to my hair after every wash anyway but it always means your hands are left with a residue on and its often hard to distribute it properly leaving your hair often looking oily, so these are definitely the benefits of using a comb like this as it enables even distribution of the healing oil treatment. I have also tried a few other products from this brand which I have loved so I am expecting great things with this comb.

Lord & Berry Travel Size Silk Kajal Kohl Eyeliner Seriously have you ever seen a cuter eyeliner than this?! Lord & Berry is a makeup brand I've not previously tried and this eyeliner has really excited me! Lord & Berry only use the highest quality raw materials and finest hypoallergenic ingredients in their products. This mini eyeliner is the perfect size to pop in your bag for a night out for a top up or for a night away somewhere, definitely the makeup staple for all girls! 

Bourjois Intense Smoky I am a massive fan of Bourjois products, they are definitely one of my favourite drug store brands. This little trio of colours is just beautiful and as always perfectly packaged. It contains 2 eye shadows and a liner, including a mini brush to apply it with. I love deep purples for winter, especially with Christmas parties and New Years coming up. Again this is perfect for taking away in a bag for a weekend. I've seen that they sell these in another couple of colours, the trios are great for creating smoky eyes as they provide the perfect colours for blending.

Pure Gold Collagen 50ml This was definitely the most intriguing product for me in the box. This little golden bottle is a liquid food supplement that improves the skins appearance from the inside out.  The special blends of hydrolysed collagen,viatmins and minerals is said to reactivate the formation of collagen to give you brighter,plumper and more youthful skin. It's a damn sight cheaper than botox too! It's intended that you drink a bottle a day of this for 4 weeks to witness visible results, a box of 10 costs £35.99 and is meant to be 20 times more powerful than a collagen pill. I'm only 22 so I don't think I will be needing this just yet (I say..) but I can definitely see the massive advantages of this product.

Elemis Papaya Enzyme Peel 15ml Elemis is such a well known and reputable brand and anything face mask related is a winner in my eyes. This product contains papaya and pineapple (yum!) which contains nourishing milk protein, anti-oxidant rich vitamin E and Marine algae to moisturise, repair and protect the skin. It sounds like it will really help to achieve a more radiant look within minutes and in the winter especially as my face really needs with some brightening up.

Murad Essential-C Cleanser 45ml I'm always looking at trying new cleansers for my skin and haven't previously tried a product from Murad. It contains Vitamins A,C and E as well as various other vital ingredients which should add moisture back into the skin and rejuvenate your skin whilst promoting a healthy and beautiful complexion. The product smells so fruity too!

Ole Henriksen Pure Truth Youth Activating Oil 15ml This is an anti ageing treatment which again has a lovely fruity and citrussy scent to it. You can spritz this to your face and neck and the treatment is meant to penetrate into the deeper layers of your skin to help heal, nourish and hydrate your skin.  It claims that this should help reduce visible lines and that skin immediately appears brighter and more radiant. I'm not quite in need of anti ageing treatments just yet but necks are definitely one of the first places of visible ageing and moisturising that area even at a young age is vital and I'm really looking forward to testing this out as it smells delicious!

So what did you all think of the contents of the Lookfantastic December beauty box?! This box is literally a god send, I absolutely love discovering new brands each month like Murad, Ole Henriksen and Gold Collagen as well as trying out new products from brands that I absolutely love but can't always justify buying at full price. It allows me to give things a test before going ahead and purchasing the full size. At first glance my favourite products are the Bourjois trio set, the Macademia comb and the Lord & Berry eye liner just because of the cuteness! I'm not disappointed in any of the products though and Lookfantastic have yet again done another fantastic job in offering a gorgeous bundle of beauty products!

I think that this would make such  a lovely Christmas present for a friend/sister/mum/grandma AND of course as a treat for yourself! What I also love about this box is that you don't need to commit to a subscription like you do with most beauty boxes, you can buy them when and as you please at a mere £15.  The Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse limited edition multi-purpose dry oil 50ml I am a huge fan of hair oil and use it pretty much daily. I'm really intrigued by this multi purpose hair oil which can be used for face, body and hair. The product contains 30% precious plant oils and vitamin E to nourish, repair and soften face, body and hair in a single use. A few drops can also be used in the bath which is probably one of my favourite uses of this product as the sensual smell makes it such a relaxing experience, it's even better if you use the scented candle too! I probably won't use this product on my face as I tend to stick to non perfumed products due to my sensitive skin but I will definitely be testing it out on my hair and body too.

 Nuxe Creme Prodigieuse Anti-fatigue moisturising cream 40ml states to protect and prevent the signs of ageing on your face. This product again is scented with Prodigieuse, this cream contains an innovative complex of anti-oxidants and active ingredients that work to relieve stressed complexions while hydrating and refreshing.  It is very moisturising on the skin without it being oily or greasy, the smell is fairly pungent but if you like the scent anyway then you will love using this. I have been applying this to my face and neck in the mornings for the the best results. I think we could all do with an anti fatigue cream especially in the winter when getting out of bed is always SO hard!

 Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse multi purpose dry oil - Golden Shimmer 10ml This little bottle of golden shimmer is just beautiful. I first laid eyes on this in the box because the packaging and contents of it are so eye catching. This again is a multi use oil for your hair, face and body, the only difference is that it gives a golden shimmer. It has a super-activated formula that combines 30% of precious plant oils and vitamin E to nourish, repair and soften face, body and hair in a single gesture. I will definitely be hanging on to this product for the summer as it is meant to help enhance your tan with the golden shimmer, those sunny days seems far away for now but I will definitely be applying a few drops to my body if I am using fake tan! For that perfect look of air brushed legs you can massage this product into your legs to create an enhanced firmness and a 'silk tights' effect. It sounds like the perfect party product essential and the size is prefect for slipping in a handbag.

The Nuxe Bougie Prodigieuse candle is an exclusive to a couple of their gift sets and is fragranced with the Huile Prodigieuse scent to match the other products in the set. Using the products and then lighting this candle with a hot bubble bath is the perfect way to relax.

Overall I am so impressed with this set and my first real tester of the Nuxe brand. If you already know the brand and love the Huile Prodigieuse scent then this is the perfect treat for yourself or a giftt for someone else, priced at £30 it works out as a great deal with the individual products amounting to a lot more. Lookfantastic Beauty Box - November 2014

Happy November everyone, I hope you all had a lovely Halloween! The fact that November is here is pretty scary but the start of a new month brings a very exciting launch which is the Lookfantastic November beauty box! Despite being a blogger for well over  year I am still yet to have dabbled in the beauty box market but I have read possibly hundreds of reviews on them and always envied the gorgeous products that arrive to bloggers doors monthly. Lookfantastic are offering an amazing box this month as they have in their previous boxes, full to the brim of gorgeous travel sized products of very well known and expensive brands worth more than a whopping £65.00!

Each beauty box contains a minimum of six gorgeous products, this box included a mixture of skincare, bodycare and cosmetics products. I love how well rounded the boxes are and they offer a range a products to target different areas of beauty.

Cute and innovative packaging wins me over every time. This was one of the only products in the box that I hadn't heard of before. This is not just an ordinary hand cream, it promises to target 8 signs of hand ageing and to visibly improve the appearance of your skin. Hand cream is an essential in the winter and the fact that it's already ranked as the number 1 selling hand cream is very exciting, I'm hoping it lives up to the expectations!

Glam Glow youthmud tingleexfoliate treatment (15g)

Words cannot describe my happiness when I found this little bottle of joy in the box. Glamglow has hit the beauty world by storm this year with the mud mask especially, being used by the likes of stars in Hollywood, however it does come with a hefty price tag. This is the youthmud tingleexfoliate mask which is a gentle exfoliating mask which should help to brighten and make your skin smoother and softer than before. I will definitely be reviewing this in full, it really helps to try trial size versions out before going ahead with purchasing it at full price.

Monu Recovery Balm (30ml)

A recovery balm is so needed for the upcoming cold weather and the constant adjustment our skin makes between heating and air con (in my office anyway!). The Monu cleanser is to be applied every morning after cleansing and which should help to calm any environmental damage made to your skin. It's comforting to know its also suitable for sensitive skin, so no worries about any nasty reactions.

Nuxe Paris youth and radiance revealing care (15ml)

Yet another very famous and well know brand in the box, they really are treating us this month! This is a youth and radiance revealing moisturiser specifically targetted at anti ageing.

New Kid cosmetics lip and cheek tint

I have again been introduced to a new cosmetics line that I'm really intrigued about. This is a lip and cheek tint which comes in the form as a crayon, the colour looks exactly as the end of the crayon does so its pretty bright! Its perfect for upcoming party season though to make a statement!

Eve Lom cleanser (30ml)

Lastly is the famous and luxurious brand, Eve Lom. I have really got into using a proper skin care regime this year with a cleanser and a hot muslim cloth. This cleanser is also designed to be used for that purpose. This cleanser contains some absolutely gorgeous ingredients ranging from Egyptian camomile oil to cocoa butter, which should hopefully result in balanced and healthy skin. I am beyond excited to give this a try!

So what did you all think of the Lookfantastic beauty box? For my first ever beauty box I am beyond impressed with it! This box contains some amazing, very well known and reputable brands and for £15.00 it is perhaps the best buy of the year when the contents is worth over £65.00. The concept of a beauty box is great as it allows you to test out trial sizes before taking the plunge, the travel sizes also make great additions for holidays and for storage on the go. The box has really opened my eyes to the beauty box market, obviously the only draw back might be that you don't like all of the products, but it's a risk worth taking because I can honestly say I am excited to try everything in this box, I think a Saturday night pampering day is definitely in order!
