OOTD | Sequins

Sequin-jumper-topshop

Jumper - Topshop (sale)
Disco Pants - American Apparel
Shoes - Primark
Necklace - New Look

Happy hump day! I'm so glad we are half way through the week, i'm tired of this first week back at uni already! Anyway, despite my disappointment with the sales this year this sequinned jumper from Topshop is probably my best find! It was originally £42 but i bagged it for only £15!! I love all of the sequin items of clothing that Topshop sell but they always come with a hefty price tag so it was inevitable that i was going to take this home!

What i love about this cropped jumper is that you can wear it casually in the day with jeans and also in the evening with a bodycon skirt or disco pants like this! I'm also excited to wear this in the summer with some white skinny jeans! I also found these beautiful Mary Jane shoes from Primark of all places,it must be their spring stock already but the colour matches perfectly with this jumper and they were only £8, i can see myself getting so much wear out of them like my black ones that i also have from Primark!

I hope that you are all having a good week and thanks for reading! What do you think of this outfit? What have your best sale finds been?

Sleek face contour kit | Review

sleek-face-contour-kit-review
After reading many reviews about this Sleek face contour kit I knew that I had to add this to my wishlist for Christmas. I have always been in awe at how celebrities and fellow beauty bloggers contour their faces so well which leaves their skin looking flawless and their faces thinner. I must admit that I had never even used a highlighter before, (*hides in shame*) so I was very happy when I received this for Christmas! This is also my first product that I have tried from Sleek and I must say that I am very impressed!

Admittedly i wasn't too sure how to use the highlighter in the kit so i watched a few YouTube videos which were really helpful and TheVintageVision's was my favourite to watch and she made it look super easy and i think i might have nearly mastered the art of contouring!

The products are both powder formula and are quite pigmented. I picked the contour kit in the shade light but it comes in 3 shades that you can choose from. The kit is a great size which means its easy to take away with you and the mirror is an added bonus if you're on the go a lot! When using the kit i first apply the bronzer with a contouring brush into the hollows of my cheek bones, i apply in to the sides of my temples, underneath my jawline and on either side of my nose, despite being the shade light the bronzer is quite dark and you don't need to apply much or else it ends up looking quite dirty. I then applied the highlighter with my fingers down the middle of my nose,my cupids bow and at the highest part of my cheek bones, i still need to work on the art of that bit though, i also applied it underneath my eyebrows to highlight the arch of them. Everyone knows Kim Kardashian is th babe of contouring and always looks amazing and the picture below is one that i found of her and also shows and explains contouring a bit better!

I still cant believe how adding a highlighter to my makeup routine has dramatically changed the way my face looks! My skin looks much more flawless, dewy and makes my face look suitably sculpted! Overall i am SO impressed with this kit and would recommend it to anyone, even if you are a makeup newbie like me haha! At only £6.49 you cant go wrong as individual highlighters and bronzers cost a lot more separately.

What do you think of this product? Have you tried this before? Do you like highlighters and contouring?

OOTD | Fluffy Cardigan

Dress - Motel Rocks
Cardigan  - H&M
Boots* - Bank
Necklace - New Look
Watch - Michael Kors

After much deliberation and waiting to see if this fluffy cardigan went into the H&M sale, which it didn't, i finally went ahead a bought this yesterday which will probably lead to it being put in the sale next week, isn't that the worst thing?! But i don't mind as i have wanted it for so long now and because it's cream it will go with most things, most of my tops and dresses tend to be sleeveless and i never have anything to wear with them so this will definitely help with some of my wardrobe dilemmas!

This dress was actually in the sale from Motel Rocks and i can definitely see myself getting a lot of wear out of this in the summer as its pretty thin and its also sleeveless, so not a typical dress for winter! I love anything nautical themed or anything with stripes though and adding the cardi adds suitable warmth to this outfit!

I hope you're all having a love weekend whatever you're up to! I'm going back to uni tomorrow so its time to wave bye to this background for my outfit posts for a while haha. Despite the masses of work that third year brings i will try my best to post every other day!

What do you think of this outfit? What sale bargains have you picked up this year?

OOTD | Sports Luxe

Top - H&M
Skort - Primark
Shoes - Schuh (old)
Bag - day a day (Spain)
Watch - Michael Kors

Happy new year to all!! I hope you all had a fantastic new years eve and are all well recovered from it now! This is the first outfit post of 2014 eek, i really struggled with the lighting again this morning so the new year has made no difference in that respect! So excuse all the different locations i shot in and the washing line haha! Oops.

Every blogger and their dog had a Zara skort of some kind in the summer so i'm super late in jumping on the bandwagon for this one! Although i managed to find this in Primark for a mere £10!! I had to snap it up and i know i will get loads of wear out of it throughout the winter with tights and also in the summer, the fit of it is really smart so it could be easily worn to work as well. To make it more casual i teamed it with this sport luxe top that i bought in the summer and there are so many like this in the shops now like Topshop for example, i really need to refrain myself from buying anymore from that shop!!The sports Luxe trend is still very much in and i love how casual this look is as some days i really cant be bothered in making much of an effort!

What do you think of this outfit? Do you like the sport luxe trend?
