Happy new year to all!! I hope you all had a fantastic new years eve and are all well recovered from it now! This is the first outfit post of 2014 eek, i really struggled with the lighting again this morning so the new year has made no difference in that respect! So excuse all the different locations i shot in and the washing line haha! Oops.
Every blogger and their dog had a Zara skort of some kind in the summer so i'm super late in jumping on the bandwagon for this one! Although i managed to find this in Primark for a mere £10!! I had to snap it up and i know i will get loads of wear out of it throughout the winter with tights and also in the summer, the fit of it is really smart so it could be easily worn to work as well. To make it more casual i teamed it with this sport luxe top that i bought in the summer and there are so many like this in the shops now like Topshop for example, i really need to refrain myself from buying anymore from that shop!!The sports Luxe trend is still very much in and i love how casual this look is as some days i really cant be bothered in making much of an effort!
What do you think of this outfit? Do you like the sport luxe trend?

I hope you're all having a lovely relaxing weekend before Christmas! If its anything like mine then it wont be, i have frantically been round the shops this morning in a bid to finish my Christmas shopping and i have finally finished! I really am not leaving it so last minute next year, there are far too many people around for my liking!
Anyway a couple of weeks ago i was lucky enough to win Crystalcosmicchic giveaway of anything up to the value of £70 from Motel Rocks. I had been having a rubbish weekend and i really couldn't believe it when i found out i won as i never win anything! I love Motel Rocks so much so of course i had a few ideas in my head of what i would like and as you can see i picked out these amazing tartan trousers and a dress which will be gracing an outfit post very soon!
This type of tartan isn't the typical red you get and its very much in your face so it looks great with this simple black cropped long sleeve top and i just had to bring in my fur collar again which i'm still very much in love with!
What do you think of this outfit? Do you like tartan? Have you finished your Christmas shopping yet?
This is my style entry for the New look Christmas Red Carpet Competiton which involves recreating your favourite Red Carpet look of 2013 into a Christmas party outfit from the New Look Party Collection. My inspiration for this was the gorgeous Lea Michele who is famously known for starring in Glee, not only is she absolutely stunning she is also an aspiring role model. Lea wore this cracker (excuse the pun) of a dress at the 2013 Peoples Choice Awards. Her outfit has the right composition of sparkle and bright colour, a lot of dresses you see on the catwalks are always quite dark colours, but where is the fun in playing it safe. This is why this outfit is perfect for Christmas to brighten up the dark winter nights!
1. Dark pink sequin sweetheart strapless dress - £39.99
2. Cream patent double ankle strap heels - £22.99
3. Mink fold over twist lock clutch - £12.99
4. Gold solid triangle ring - £3.99
5. Pink and Gold triangle drop earrings - £4.99
I opted for this stunning strapless dress in the same hot pink colour, pink really is a colour not normally associated with Christmas, but pink and sparkles are appropriate for every day wear if i could get away with it and i would be sure to stand out in this number.
Lea's outfit is very eye catching although, i love how simple she has accessorised, as less is definitely more in this case. As the dress does all the talking i haven't overdone it with the accessories, i chose some classy drop earrings similar to ones that she wore and i matched it with a gold triangle ring which pair together so well.
The strappy sandal heels she wears are almost identical to the New Look ones and i am sure a massive fraction of the price of hers. The muted colour of pink really suits the boldness of this dress as anything of a similar colour or darker would just overpower the outfit. I also picked a similar coloured clutch bag to match the shoes!
This Red carpet look can be achieved on a budget and at an easily accessible high street store, i guess i am one step closer to looking like Lea Michele now! I dream...
What do you think of this outfit? What will you be wearing to your Christmas parties? What are your favourite shops for party outfits?

I hope you all had a lovely weekend! Just to let you all know that the blog made the exciting transition over to sleek-chic.co.uk this weekend! I think it was the right time to make the move as i have been blogging for almost 5 months now and i wanted it done in time for the new year!
Anyway onto today's outfit! The gorgeous bracelet that i'm wearing is from the lovely blogger Jay Chapman who has recently launched a new online shop called Birdy accessories which stocks various pieces of jewellery and some stunning phone covers. This cuff bracelet is available in gold online which is another versatile colour like silver and really does go with most outfits and colours! I love the little chain on the bracelet too and it goes perfectly with this outfit!
I picked this dress up in Primark on the weekend for £13!!! I love finding gems like this in primark and the quality of it is fab. The velvet pattern looks so nice against the grey and the fit of it is so flattering. I think most people will be surprised that this is from Primark!
Thanks for reading and please go and check out Birdy accessories there are some gorgeous pieces online! What do you think of this outfit? Do you like the bracelet? What kind of jewellery do you like to wear?

Hi everyone! I hope you're all having a lovely weekend what are you up to? I've attempted to do some more Christmas shopping this morning but i cant stand how busy everywhere is! But i did treat myself in boots as i have saved up my points for ages so i got an Origins drink me up intensive mask which i have wanted to try for so long. A review will be coming up as soon as I've had a try!
After months of searching for the perfect fluffy jumper in shops and online i have finally got one! I hadn't actually seen this mint colour one in Topshop before,as soon as i saw it i knew it was what i had been after! For £38 it is quiet expensive as i know Missguided sell them for around £20 and Primark's are £10 but the colours are so much brighter and you can really tell that the quality of the material is a lot better than Primark's. As much as i love shopping in Primark not everything is of a high quality!
This has instantly become my favourite piece of clothing, i love how bright it is and the softness and fluffiness of it is insane, it feels like i'm wearing a glove! I also purchased this necklace yesterday, i love how low it hangs and the coloured jewels match perfectly with the jumper, it was only £6 from New Look too which was such a bargain!
What do you think of this outfit? Do you own a fluffy jumper? Where are your favourite jumpers from?

Sorry about the lack of posting at the moment, i'm almost into the last week of uni now before breaking up for the Christmas holidays yippee! Unfortunately every single deadline, exam and presentation is in the last week so my time is being devoted to that at the moment! But i am so excited to devote a lot more time to my blog over the Christmas period and i have lots of exciting posts planned for you, so thanks for sticking around!
Okay, so i promise this is the last in the series of 'faux fur' outfits now haha i also need to stop buying anymore items to do with fur. If you read my post on the vintage fair i went to about a month ago you will have known that i picked up this gorgeous coat for only £35 which is fab for a faux fur coat as they are usually priced around £80. Today was the first day i wore it as i feel i need the extra warmth from it now, i did get a few odd stares though so hopefully they were admiring it or either disgusted to think that i was wearing real fur as the fur on this coat does look really authentic, oh well let them stare haha!
I still love my crushed velvet leggings that i bought a while back and i teamed them with these cute frilly socks which i was obsessed with in the summer and bought far too many pairs!! I think it adds a cute extra bit of detail to this look but the fur coat does really do all the talking in this outfit!
What do you think of this outfit? Do you like fur coats?

Happy Weekend to you all! I hope you are having relaxing weekend and you are excited to start your advent calendars tomorrow! I have just opted for the traditional chocolate one this year, the beauty calendars really do appeal to me and i think they are an amazing idea but i just cant justify the price for items that i probably wont use! Maybe another year though, what advent calendars have all of you got?!
I have always been a fan of patterned tights and they can really jazz up and make any outfit look a bit different! I got these from Primark a while ago for a mere £1.50! I love Primark's wide selection of hosiery but if i was opting for a more expensive make it would definitely be Pretty Polly or Calzedonia and they are probably a lot better quality as i find these unfortunately ladder after a few wears.
It wouldn't be one of my favourite outfits without a bit of fur thrown in there haha! This fur gilet is seriously old now but they never really go out of fashion and they are a great for adding an extra bit of warmth to an outfit!
What do you think of this outfit? Do you like patterned tights? What advent calendars are you all going to be opening tomorrow?

I am SO happy that it is Friday but i have so much university work that i will be spending the majority of the weekend doing it :( I'm so excited for Christmas now but then i realise how much i actually have to get finished before then, i better get a move on!
Anyway, onto this gorgeous outfit! Monochrome and Aztec in one dress is definitely a dream for me as they are my favourite colours and patterns together, this shift dress from Bank Fashion has such a nice loose fit and the texture of the fabric means that its quite warm. I've teamed it with my favourite neon summer necklace from Primark, it makes a bright pop of colour against the dark print. I have been after cut out boots since forever, and this pair of Zahara cut out boots from Bank really help to make the outfit and they are super comfy which is a great bonus! The heel is quite chunky but they are surprisingly easy to walk in which is perfect as i'm hopeless at wearing heels in the night let alone the day haha! I also wore my oversized boyfriend coat with this as its pretty chilly right now but where is all this snow that has been predicted?! This dress would also look amazing as a night time outfit with heels and some sparkly accessories!
Bank are one of my favourite stores to shop at and its even better that they offer 10% for all students and they also have some good sales on at the moment! They also have some gorgeous sequinned party outfits in store at the moment which i have my eye on for christmas!
What do you think of this outfit? Do you like monochrome and aztec print?

Mitts - Hand knitted by my mummy!
Seeing as its almost December and the weather is getting pretty chilly i thought it was about time i pull the chistmas jumpers out which by the way is my favourite item of clothing to match my favourite time of the year, who doesnt love christmas?! In true Primark style they have piles and piles of the novelty jumpers this year, i picked this one out for my birthday which i love because it doesn't scream out Christmas to you and it can be worn at anytime time in the cold months and not just for the festive period. The jumper makes a nice casual outfit and the penguin on the front is so fluffy and cute! When its cold weather the last thing i feel like doing is dressing up in cold outfits and heels, this is definitely more my style at this time of the year!
I also had to show you these gorgeous mitts that my mum knitted for me, how amazing are they?! The Norwegian pattern is so intricate and i really cant get my head round how you do it as I've tried to learn how to knit so many times and have only ever mastered the basic stitch! My mum has also knitted me socks, cardigans and phone cases in the past and now she is even making Christmas decorations which are just the cutest, she really is very talented! I will be sure to feature them in a blog post soon!
What do you think of this outfit? Do you like Christmas jumpers? Can you knit?
