OOTD | Plaid blouse

Blouse - Hollister
Skirt - Primark
Cardigan - Abercrombie (old)
Shoes - Primark
Bag - Ted Baker

Hello everyone i hope you're all having a lovely weekend and the sun is shining for once! I have been praying for some decent weather this week and with the rain i have been unable to get as many outfit pictures as i would have liked and today the light was so bright i struggled to get the pictures that weren't too bright haha silly British weather!

I also wore a coat with this as its got soo cold this last week! I've also just realised in a  lot of my recent outfit posts i look like i'm going to school or something haha that's not intentional! Anyway, When there was a sale in Hollister a few weeks ago i picked this blouse up,its quite thin but i like the plaid/tartan pattern and the peplum to it although its not exactly fitted. I featured this skirt in an outfit post a while back but i'm obsessed with the fit of it and love the quilted texture and from primark i really am impressed by it and its actually in the sale now for only £5!

I hope you enjoyed reading, i have lots more outfit posts to come this week featuring some of my new fur purchases so keep an eye out!

What do you think of this outfit? What are you loving from primark at the moment?

OOTD | Geek Chic

Jumper - Topshop (old)
Blouse - Hollister
Jeans - Abercrombie
Necklace - BikBok
Shoes - Ugg
Rucksack - Topshop
Glasses - Karen Millen

I hope you are all having a good week, its nearly the weekend yey!! As always i have been busy with uni work but had some time to get some outfit pictures,i think this outfit is really preppy and college like! Just to point out i do actually need glasses and these aren't just a fashion accessory haha!

I love this jumper and also lived in it last winter, baggy jumpers are so cosy and go with all skinny jeans, leggings, bodycon skirts etc, they're so versatile! I layered this with an embellished blouse and my favourite necklace which is from BikBok,it is definitely my favourite shop in scandinavian countries! If you look closely you can see one of the gems has fallen out though,it makes me so sad when that happens to your favourite jewellery, but its not going to stop me from wearing it!

These are my favourite jeans of all time!! I barely wear jeans these days but i love the colour wash of the denim and the rips in the fabric.

Thanks for reading! What do you think of this outfit? Do you love baggy jumpers too?

OOTD | Tartan shorts

Shorts - Hollister (old)
Top - Urban Outfitters
Cradigan - Jack Wills (old)
Necklace - Ebay
Tights - Primark
Belt - Primark
Shoes - Primark
Bag - Ted Baker

I hope you're all having a lovely weekend, shame about this awful weather at the moment though! Trying to take decent outfit pictures yesterday was such a task, it was raining and the wind was crazy!! I had about 20 outtakes on a long length picture because my hair kept blowing and my cardigan was practically flying away, the wind definitely won this time, but i think the few pictures i did get are okay!

This outfit was also far too cold for yesterday but its all in vain for fashion!! I bet you're all thinking not tartan again?! But i seriously love the trend this winter, i bought these shorts two years ago from Hollister and they were definitely worth the investment because tartan never really seems to go away. The Jack Wills cardigan is also about 3 years old but i love how chunky the knit is, i have seen loads similar to these in the shops though for a much cheaper price!

Yes, i definitely am wearing these Primark shoes again, i promise i do have other shoes too haha! They are just the most versatile shoes and are so light to walk in, i wish they sold them in other colours too!

What do you think of this outfit? How are you spending this stormy weekend?

OOTD | Embellished blouse

Coat - Red Herring(old)
Blouse - Hollister
Jeans - Topshop
Boots - Ruby Rock
Necklace - Ebay
Rucksack - Topshop
I took these pictures in a different location today as you can see! Since i went on my first cruise in the summer i have been obsessed with them and it really was the best holiday i have ever been on! Living in Southampton for University means that i get to see all the different cruise ships coming in and on this particular day the one that i sailed on was docked so i had to go and see it. Don't you just wish it was the summer holidays all over again?!

Anyway, onto the outfit. It was really chilly on this day so i had to dig my old winter coat out! This one is quite old now and i am in desperate need of a new coat, i love the faux fur collar on this one though and am definitely looking for either a grey wool coat or a furry one as they look so cosy, there is no lack of coats in store but they are just all so expensive, so i want to make sure its the right one for me! I picked this new blouse up from hollister at the weekend as they had a 50% sale on which is so unheard of in that shop! I've been looking for a white blouse for some time and i love the embellished detail on the collar.

These boots were given to me by my boyfriends mum and they retail at £60 from Ruby Rock which is actually a brand that i had never heard of before,so i am ensuring i get lots of wear out of them this winter! I love the brown leopard print on these boots and the mohair material, the heels are also glittery black, what could be better?!

What do you think of this outfit? Have you got any suggestions on where to find a nice winter coat?

Upcycled denim shorts.

If you've been shopping lately you will have seen the current trend of denim shorts that have patches or pockets covered with fabric, sequins, different trims and other embellishments. I am one for having a go at customising my old clothes into new, so i found an old pair of denim shorts and had a go at creating my own pair which cost me nothing! Here is how i did and how you can do it! With the right materials and equipment it isn't that hard and you have a pair of unique shorts that no one else will have.

Shorts - (originally) Bershka//Top - Hollister

Equipment -
-A pair of shorts
-Material of your choice
-Paper(for the pattern)
-scissors
-Pins
-Needle and thread or sewing machine depending on fabric

How i did it -
1-After i decided what shorts i was going to use i had to find some material. I found an old bag that i had which i no longer used, but the fabric was so gorgeous and already heavily embellished with beading so i knew this would look perfect.

2-Next i placed the piece of paper over the area i wanted to cover by the fabric, for mine it was the right hand side of the shorts, then by holding it carefully i traced around it, this part can be fiddly.

3-I then cut the template out and placed it on the fabric where i wanted it and pinned it on. I then cut around this template leaving about 1cm extra to give room for turnings.

4-After i cut it out i placed it on the area to be embellished and pinned it on,you can also tack it with stitches if you find this easier.

5- Sew neatly around the edge either by hand or machine whichever is appropriate. Mine was done by hand because the material was embellished. I also unpicked the belt loop and reattached it afterwards to give it a neat finish.

6-Ta da! You should end up with a unique item of clothing which you certainly wont see anyone else wearing! The possibilities of this really are endless, use your imagination!

I hope you enjoyed reading this! Has anyone else tried this before or customised any other clothes?I would love to hear from you all!
