Too Faced // The Bronzed & The Beautiful

Hello everyone,i hope you all had a lovely weekend! I'm going to be telling you about my favourite bronzer today. I purchased this set called 'The Bronzed & The Beautiful' while I was shopping in New York last year. I purchased this set from Sephora,my first ever visit to one of their shops and i was in love!!You can also purchase it from boots which retails at £28.00.

The packaging on this is gorgeous, it looks old fashioned with the sepia seafront scene and with the pink and brown stripes. It really reminded me of the soap and glory collection as well as Benefit, maybe this was why I was so drawn towards this product. The set is a perfect size and it contains 4 different shades of bronzer, my favourite is the Chocolate Soleil which is a matte bronzer and it really helps to achieve that darker looking tan if that is the look you're going for. There is the classic bronze which can be used for most looks and this is called Sun Bunny, Snow Bunny is deemed as being a winter bronzer and lastly the Powdered Sun which is great to be used as an illuminating highlighter to contour areas of your face. Also included is the Deluxe Primed & Poreless SPF 20 bronze tint skin smoothing face primer. This can be used before putting on your foundation or bronzer,it also helps to achieve an overall smoother and flawless tan on your face. As I am no makeup artist I love how enclosed in the set is 3 how to do cards; How to lose 10lbs in 10 seconds,Glamour Bronze and Classic Bronze.

I have been using this product for almost a year now and i will definitely be repurchasing!!Personally, I think that the primer included is perfect if you have a natural dark tan anyway but for the times when my skin is pale(most of the year then!) the primer is far too dark for my skin and it ends up making me look like i'm caked in makeup, and not in a good way! I love all of the different bronzers as you are able to achieve different looks  with the added help of the to do cards. I use this product daily and on nights out , and it really does make me look like I have just got back from holiday with the perfect sunkissed tan, it looks so natural as well. On a night out I tend to use the Glamour Bronze look and in the day I usually dull it down a bit with the Classic Bronze.

This product retails at the high end but for me it was totally worth it and i am still using the one i bought last year, amazing! Although, I am lusting after the Nars Laguna bronzer but is it worth the cost?!Please let me know if you have tried it i would love to know how you got on with it!

Have any of you ever tried this or any other products from the Too Faced range before?

Tartan on trend

Tartan skirt - Abercrombie//Black bodysuit - Asos//Rucksack - Topshop// Socks - Jack Wills// Boots - Kurt Geiger

Its no secret that i love shopping in Abercombie,i just love the whole experience including the badly lit shop, awfully loud music, dancing employees and ridiculously overpriced clothing, yet i still return! Hopefully i will grow out of this phase soon. Anyway, i picked this tartan skirt up in New York last year and i'm hoping to get some more wear out of it this year now that Tartan is really making a come back. I paired it with a really simple racer back bodysuit from Asos which i love as its a fail safe with most outfits! I finally decided on a rucksack for going back to uni and i picked up this acid wash bag in Topshop yesterday for £30 i love this look at the moment, probably no good for when it rains though oops!

Lastly for my feet i'm wearing my trusty kurt geiger boots which i bought a few years ago and they have been a real investment as i have worn them to death, i'm also wearing wool knee high socks from jack wills which i got a few years ago and were a waste of money, since then i've bought plenty more from Primark for a fraction of the price!

I hope you enjoyed reading my outfit post and you are all having a lovely weekend, what do you think?

Hair scrunchies!

Can you believe that the hair scrunchies we wore to school in the 90's are now back in fashion?! Amazing. I was always lucky when i was younger as my mum used to make my sister and i hair scrunchies that no one else ever had, there was certainly hair scrunchie envy in the playground.

I was in River island the other day and spotted such a cute tartan scrunchie but i really didn't want to part with £4 pounds for what is essentially a small piece of fabric, luckily enough i had some spare tartan material at home and i followed a pattern that i found on the internet from here. If you have the correct equipment and materials its really easy to do!

Hope you enjoyed reading my post and i will be trying to get some posts up more regularly! Please feel free to comment below i love hearing from everyone :)

Upcycled denim shorts.

If you've been shopping lately you will have seen the current trend of denim shorts that have patches or pockets covered with fabric, sequins, different trims and other embellishments. I am one for having a go at customising my old clothes into new, so i found an old pair of denim shorts and had a go at creating my own pair which cost me nothing! Here is how i did and how you can do it! With the right materials and equipment it isn't that hard and you have a pair of unique shorts that no one else will have.

Shorts - (originally) Bershka//Top - Hollister

Equipment -
-A pair of shorts
-Material of your choice
-Paper(for the pattern)
-scissors
-Pins
-Needle and thread or sewing machine depending on fabric

How i did it -
1-After i decided what shorts i was going to use i had to find some material. I found an old bag that i had which i no longer used, but the fabric was so gorgeous and already heavily embellished with beading so i knew this would look perfect.

2-Next i placed the piece of paper over the area i wanted to cover by the fabric, for mine it was the right hand side of the shorts, then by holding it carefully i traced around it, this part can be fiddly.

3-I then cut the template out and placed it on the fabric where i wanted it and pinned it on. I then cut around this template leaving about 1cm extra to give room for turnings.

4-After i cut it out i placed it on the area to be embellished and pinned it on,you can also tack it with stitches if you find this easier.

5- Sew neatly around the edge either by hand or machine whichever is appropriate. Mine was done by hand because the material was embellished. I also unpicked the belt loop and reattached it afterwards to give it a neat finish.

6-Ta da! You should end up with a unique item of clothing which you certainly wont see anyone else wearing! The possibilities of this really are endless, use your imagination!

I hope you enjoyed reading this! Has anyone else tried this before or customised any other clothes?I would love to hear from you all!

Back to School Bags.

Every year before i have gone back to school or university it has always been a tradition of mine to start the new year with a new bag! This year is no exception! I am loving that rucksacks are coming back into fashion they are much more forgiving on the back and so much easier to carry,as well as being super cute! Here are some of my top picks of school bags.

1. Henry Holland - £45// 2.Topshop - £36// 3.River Island - £20// 4. Kanken - £40// 5.Bank - £25// 6. Asos - £29.99// 7.New Look - £24.99// 8. Motel Rocks - £35// 9. Accesorize - £35
I want every single one of these bags as they are all different in their own ways and they are all quite reasonably priced and some shops also have offers on at the moment.Regarding number 8 there is also a dupe of this in Primark at the moment which priced around £5 i think, such a great bargain. Now i have to try my best at whittling it down to just one!

Thanks for reading,i love hearing from any fellow bloggers so feel free to leave a comment below. Which are your favourites?

Hello everyone! Well this is my first outfit post so be nice! I struggled with finding some good lighting for these photos but i think they turned out okay.

I have wanted a pair of white jeans for so long now but have never found 'the pair', anyway i was in H&M on Saturday trawling through the sale items and found the last pair of these and in my size what are the chances?! Even better they were only £7, you really cant go wrong. I also picked up this sport luxe jersey style top there for £12.99 which i absolutely love. I'm wearing this with my favourite boat shoes which i purchased from the states a few years ago from Sperry, they are such great long lasting shoes i highly recommend!
Jeans - H&M// Top - H&M
Necklace - Accesorize
Boat shoes - Sperry

Cruise formal nights..The outfits!

Who doesn't love getting dressed up to the nines every once in a while?! Before going on the cruise i was actually most looking forward to the formal nights where the dress code is smart. I have never seen so many gorgeous dresses in my life,it definitely gave me some food for thought. Here is what i wore;
The preparations
Scala dress/Biba Clutch/Primark heels

Red Herring dress/Biba Clutch

Lipsy dress/Vintage clutch
My favourite dress i wore was my Scala sequinned dress, Scala sells some gorgeous dresses check them out here. It is an American brand but i purchased mine in a boutique in Exeter and i know that there are many other stockists in the UK. It was an expensive dress but i had it for my 18th birthday and its one of those dresses that is timeless and can be worn again and again as long as you have a special occasion to wear it for.

The purple dress is from Lipsy and is a nice simple backless dress which i teamed with a vintage handbag which my grandma passed down to me, its something that you couldn't buy nowadays and she purchased it for a mere 12 shillings and 8 pence in Malta which is roughly 75p, bargain!!!

The final dress i wore is the red number and this was from Red Herring in Debenhams. This was also purchased a few years ago and it again is fancy without being too in your face. The feather clutch i wore this with is from Biba, i saw this clutch in House Of Fraser a few months ago and it was love at first sight! Sadly looking at the price tag it was £180, definitely out of my price range. However, a few weeks later it had been reduced to £49.50 i couldn't believe my luck so that one was mine!

I hope you enjoyed reading!Sorry the pictures aren't very close up to the dresses i didn't think of this while i was away but i hope you get an idea of what they are like!

Have any of you wore these brands before or been on a cruise? :)
