21st Birthday// The presents

If you follow me on twitter you will have known that it was my 21st birthday on Monday! I had such a great time and my boyfriend took me to London for the weekend to watch The Woman in Black at the theatre which i thoroughly enjoyed,i also had some time to go shopping so there will be a London haul post up soon! I also celebrated last night out with my friends, night clubs were definitely more fun when i was 18 though haha! Anyway, i thought i would share with all of you what i received for my birthday,this post isn't at all bragging at what i got, i am ever so grateful and lucky with what i received :) I've compiled lots of pictures of my presents but i wont explain about them all as there is too much for me to write but you will be seeing lots of individual reviews and outfit posts to come soon, so i hope you enjoy reading!

I received this gorgeous cake stand from my boyfriends mum which is so pretty, and how cute are the knitted cupcakes,the ladybird and the rose!!! My mum is a brilliant knitter and has made me some great items in the past for me that i shall definitely be doing a blog post on soon!

My favourite birthday cards that i received were these!! My sister made me the brilliant moon pig card,i love how personal they are and a great thing to keep, my mum also made the middle card which is SO good,its very pinterest!

Firstly, sorry for the bad lighting and the not very attractive background! I have just moved into my uni accommodation this week and this was the best place to take a picture indoors today,I'm sure I will find a better location at some point!

I'm actually surprised at how warm it has felt, I was definitely too hot in this beautiful jumper! I purchased this from Romwe at the start  of the summer after seeing it on Pearls and Poodles Instagram and I knew I had to have it as the floral pattern is soo pretty. I have to wear it more like a dress though as this was a small size and it absolutely swamps me and as you can see I had to roll the sleeves up,I love the way the end of the sleeves and the bottom of the jumper look like cob webs, its just something a bit different to the normal straight cut.

I'm still loving these Primark cut out boots, I would suggest wearing socks with them though as my feet are red raw from where they have rubbed ow!

Loreal Paris Nude Magique Anti-Redness CC Cream

Ever since i have been little i have suffered from redness on my cheeks.When you're younger everyone thinks rosy cheeks are cute but when i hit my teenage years i wanted to do everything i could to cover it up. I have always struggled to find products to conceal the redness as its makes my skin tone look uneven and makes me quite self conscious. It is a fact that creams containing yellow or green are the best at covering up redness and I had previously tried one by benefit which was a yellow stick/concealer but they no longer stock it and i cant remember the name oops, but it didn't work at all for me and putting foundation on top just made it look cakey. So when the release of Loreal Paris's anti-redness cc cream came along i had to give it a try.

The CC cream is a colour correcting cream which acts to combat any redness,it is of a liquid consistency just like foundation but without the thickness of it,it comes out green but when rubbed into your skin it blends and matches to your unique skin colour or so it says. The coverage is quite thin and it recommends applying foundation on top or another layer of the cc cream if you want any added coverage. I have tried all 3 ways of wearing it and here is my verdict.

I have lived in the cc cream this summer as i have had a tan so i haven't needed as much coverage, firstly it does not fully cover my red cheeks which disappointed me,however it did even out my skin tone slightly. I would fully recommend using this is you suffer from spots as it completely covers up that unsightly redness you get with them, so i would use this as almost a concealer on the spots underneath my foundation and it really helps to make your skin look flawless. I also applied 2 layers of this to see the difference and this time it really helped the redness fade,however it made me look orange,seeing as it is meant to match to your skin tone it really put me off using it again because it made my skin look unnatural (towie esque),the same happened when i also applied foundation over the top of one layer of the cc cream. Because the cc cream is a universal shade i definitely wouldn't recommend it to people with pale skin as it will be more than likely too dark for your skin tone.

Although, I will be repurchasing this again and as the winter months approach i will be using this on just the patches that need it with foundation over the top, as it is great for evening out skin tone and covering up spot redness. But for me i am still on the search for the elusive product to conceal my redness!!

OOTD Tartan

Since coming back from holiday i cant believe how much colder the weather has become, my knit jumpers have officially all made a reappearance! My feet are featuring my new cut out boots that i recently got from Primark for only £12!! I was so pleased when i found these as i have been looking for cut out boots forever and similar ones to these from Topshop were too pricey for me. These are perfect for day wear as they are flat and i think i really struggle wearing heels throughout the day. I also picked this tartan scarf up from Primark recently which is a brilliant addition to my A/W wardrobe, its great because its a simple accessory which can brighten up a plain outfit and tartan is my favourite trend for this season!

I am also still loving Aran knitted jumpers,i don't think they really ever go out of fashion and this one was from Jack Wills a couple of years ago and it is still my favourite as i love the big brown buttons and the chunky knit of it,it was an expensive buy but considering 2 years later i am still wearing it it was worth the investment!
